The push back is most likely related to the following: three different jobs in three years, worst season possibly ever for Zanesville, was shopping for a new job during that worst season ever instead of focusing solely on getting better. The people blaming the travel time for the debacle in Zanesville, and that’s being generous, are making it seem even worse. He had to realize what the situation was. I surely hope he personally has a better excuse than that for leaving. The bottom line is the Zanesville thing was an epic failure. Hopefully he’ll be more dedicated to his new program, but does he teach at Z’ville? If so, his travel time home is only going to get longer if he’s planning to spend any time in Chillicothe. Will that be too much for him?

Dude figured out early that he didn’t have what it takes to turn Zanesville around. Can’t blame him for doing whatever it took for self preservation. He would have buried himself self in that job so he had to get out while people were still crediting him for the league championship at VC. Smart, albeit slick, move on his part.

Does anyone know what assistant coaches Coach Carper is bringing with him or who will remain from Bartholomew's staff?
