Several coaches have stated Regional 20 is the worst it’s been in years. I was told by one area coach that Portsmouth would beat this team. Ironton has only played 3 teams with a pulse this year in Harvest Prep, Pikeville, and Burg, and impressively dispatched of two of them…one of them twice. Next week is gonna be a different experience. The Fighting Tigers will need to play their best game of the year to have a shot and I have zero doubt they will.

A 5-5 12 seed who lost their QB earlier in the year. Versailles is not a true representation of the MAC or even a true Versailles team this year. Region 20 is really bad.

I wonder how Ironton would fair, IF they played Kirkland?

Why did West Liberty not let any backup's play to end the game! Hard to believe that their coach would not let some of his backup players finish the game.

Down 7 TD’s they should have followed IRON’s lead inserting 2/3’s at minimum of mid 3Q. Pros/cons to leaving 1’s in… PROS:17 seniors prolly wantex to stay in & did so as a coach thank you.

Cons: Future players see no playing time in playoffs which is very important.

IRON pulled the horses & played a 1-penalty game=BIG OLE PRO MOVE!!!

Down 7 TD’s they should have followed IRON’s lead not necessarily inserting 2/3’s at start of running clock 3Q, but @ by mid 3Q.
Nonetheless, IRON FLEXES & Advances!!!

Pros/cons for WLS leaving 1’s in…

PROS:17 seniors prolly wanted to stay in & did so as a coach thank you.

Cons: Future players see no playing time in playoffs which is very important.

Very difficult to do…

Hopefully, we play clean & bring it home.

LC has been in finals 10+times too & oh so close.

They have won the big hat once & are very hungry too.

Football strong tradition like IRON!!!

I’m not sure Burg had a pulse, they got beat 92-7 or something like that in the 2 games against Ironton. Also why we gotta single out Portsmouth like they were some 1-9 team and the worst team Ironton played this season lol.

I agree that this is probably ironton's best team of all time but with that said I would still put them as a slight under dog next week. Just because of past history of seo teams in canton. This team will be the best team by far they have faced this year. This game will be a dogfight that could go either way. Good luck Fighting Tigers. You are long overdue to win one of these.

i’ve heard a lot about ironton correcting penalties the past two weeks. honestly, it’s never bothered me because officiating is basically terrible in southern ohio.when you get this deep in the playoffs, you get good officials that realize the game isn’t about them and they let the kids play.from week one this year I saw officials that just couldn’t help being the biggest part of the game. they look for stuff to call and it ruins the game. kudos to the officials the past two weeks. let the kids play
