Week 15 : #2 (13-1) West Liberty Salem vs #1 (13-1) Ironton

I agree that this is probably ironton's best team of all time but with that said I would still put them as a slight under dog next week. Just because of past history of seo teams in canton. This team will be the best team by far they have faced this year. This game will be a dogfight that could go either way. Good luck Fighting Tigers. You are long overdue to win one of these.

You may think they're an underdog but Pasteur has Ironton -10 and calpreps has them -7

'Best ever' is tough to say. I would put the undefeated 1935 Ironton team up there. George McAfee (Pro Football HOF) was on that team. His brother, Wes, was on that team. He also played in the NFL. The 1978 team at Ironton was dominant, and likely the best team that I have personally seen. Only a teachers strike at Logan kept that team from cruising to a state championship.

I think this is the most exciting Ironton team that I have seen. That is a combination of the playbook/play calling and the talent at the skill positions. The defense has gotten better every week. Outstanding team chemistry, too.

Ironton has had teams better than this one that didn’t win it. Jermon Jackson was the best player in anyone’s recent memory from the tri state area. Beat Randy Mosss team at DuPont . Jermon Never won a state championship. An ohio state RB recruit. Just depends the year. Ironton always has a chance. Ohio state championships is an animal to win in any division or sport. This isn’t even Pendleton’s best Ironton team, let alone the best Ironton team ever. I have a feeling we’ll see just how good they are or are not next Saturday.

This ironton team right now is honestly the greatest ironton football team i’ve ever seen. The offense is just insane. They can pass the ball at any given moment and run the ball at any given moment. it was 63-7 before the put the jv in! The defense allowed 0 first downs. Like who does that in a state semi final game? This is truly the best team i’ve seen ironton ever had in my eyes. I think a lot of you will disagree, but it’s just simply true. They lost to clarkson North which had 21 year old athletes on the team and is considered a prep school in Canada and only lost by 1. They beat the defending state champions in kentucky pikeville. They dismember bishop harley and buffalo st francis. and if you truly think about it. every game has been a running clock other than north and pikeville. In the last 14 games ironton has scored 671 points and only allowed 145! that’s including with the jv going in. I wouldn’t be suppressed if that number is under 100 for the defense. but with all that being said, WHEN they do beat this liberty center team-All of you will have to say they are the best ironton football team no matter what. GO TIGERS!

I stand corrected . I meant to say, "2 out of the last 3 times, that they were in the championship game." I'm ALL for Ironton to win the championship.
