Wheelersburg players that should be in the OHSAA record book for football
Who’s responsible for turning that in? Looking at some numbers and Burg, especially Tanner Holden is top 25 in quite a few categories
Holden for his career had 184 receptions which would put him 23rd. 3477 receiving yards in his career would put him 9th and 46 receiving TD’s for his career puts him 7th. Season numbers he had were 1535 yards in 2017 puts him 23rd and 21 receiving TD’s puts him 15th.
Jerod Tilley rushed for 36 TD’s in 1996 which puts him on the list as well.

Holden was explosive and fun to watch, much like Shaun Terry. I wonder if Holden had chose football over basketball where he’d be today?

Always said he should’ve chose football. Guy with his frame and speed is rare at WR. Regardless he has done well for himselfOVC wrote: Fri Nov 29, 2024 9:43 pm Holden was explosive and fun to watch, much like Shaun Terry. I wonder if Holden had chose football over basketball where he’d be today?

Would have been interesting to see what he could have done st the college level. He just had a different gear he kicked in when he got the ball.
Like you said just like Terry. Going to be interesting to see what he does at Missouri!!

I would agree with that assessment. Terry is a lot more dangerous in the open field. Holden was dangerous one on one. Terry is definitely the better football player, Holden was a phenomenal athlete overall.Larry Fine wrote: Fri Nov 29, 2024 11:27 pmSorry , but Holden was not the football player that Terry is.yabbadabbadoo wrote: Fri Nov 29, 2024 11:22 pmOVC wrote: Fri Nov 29, 2024 9:43 pm Holden was explosive and fun to watch, much like Shaun Terry. Did you see someone made a post about Southeastern football and also Chesapeake’s HC search? I bet they were trying to steal attention from the Ironton thread as well

Email OHSAA and have them added. That’s how all the rest got on there.

Re: Wheelersburg players that should be in the OHSAA record book for football
I think the ways the OHSAA states are through an official email from the school, or a letter on official school letterhead with the stats, or through a reputable media sourceyabbadabbadoo wrote: Fri Nov 29, 2024 7:45 pm Who’s responsible for turning that in? Jerod Tilley rushed for 36 TD’s in 1996 which puts him on the list as well.
All would need some sort of verification as well, but I don’t think its a super difficult process. They just want to make sure there’s no BS.

That’s what I had always heard is that it had to come from someone at the school.
Thanks for the info!!

Looked into this one time, I believe just about anyone can turn it in but you have to have factual numbers, news articles and complete stats to support your claim. You can't just say he did this you have to have the proof they need.yabbadabbadoo wrote: Fri Nov 29, 2024 7:45 pm Who’s responsible for turning that in? Re: Wheelersburg players that should be in the OHSAA record book for football
Not a fan of either team and got to see both guys play and whether you want to admit or not Terry is terms of a football player/athlete on the field is/was far superior to Holden. That's not a knock on either player but Terry is far and away the better WR, Holden was a more long speed type of guy he wasn't getting in and out of his breaks anywhere close to what Terry does, which would've caused separation issues in college, and Terry's route tree and ability to run it far outweighs what Holden was able to do in that category. Forget stats as you're trying to say Holden's speak for themselves, Terry has played far better competition especially here in his senior year but just take a look at offers the 2 don't compare. I'm not stirring any pot nor will I respond to any rebuttal, I've seen them both play on multiple occasions, I've seen each as an athlete and WR affect the game and I realize the offers 1 got vs what another got and there's no convincing me otherwise and I'll finish up with it's not even close when comparing.yabbadabbadoo wrote: Fri Nov 29, 2024 11:42 pmLarry Fine wrote: Fri Nov 29, 2024 11:27 pmSorry , but Holden was not the football player that Terry is.yabbadabbadoo wrote: Fri Nov 29, 2024 11:22 pm

I’ll give Holden the nod of better athlete. Not very often when a kid gets D1 offers in two different sports. Not a knock on Terry, he’s the better football player.greygoose wrote: Sat Nov 30, 2024 8:28 amNot a fan of either team and got to see both guys play and whether you want to admit or not Terry is terms of a football player/athlete on the field is/was far superior to Holden. According to the Ohsaa the coach has to submit the stats. None of the Burg's Girls softball stats since 2020 are listed either and there are a lot of records.
