True. Ironton is the only program in the state that has excellent coaching and conditioning. Liberty Center barely has a program; no conditioning at all and a part time coach that learned football from reading “How to Coach Football for Dummies.”
What are you even talking about ?
Your constant rambling about how Ironton outworks everyone. How they are conditioned like no others. How superior their coaching is to anyone else in the state.

You act as if other programs are just chumps.
You are getting trolled lol

Best of luck, Ironton! I’m going with Ironton 35-14.

I would love to see an Ironton/ Marion Local matchup in the future. As far as small schools go, “to be the man, you got to beat the man” and there’s no denying Marion Local is the man right now.

IronTon has a very good chance to win.

So does Liberty Center.

IRON MUST PLAY CLEAN, as close to possible as they did -V-
WLS.

Schreck must direct IRON on O & IRON D MUST OUTPLAY LC O LINE. SIMPLE TO SAY, will be a task!

LC has good QB & three others in backfield to contain.

Garrison Kruse #30. 6-2/210 RB/LB SOPHOMORE

Thomas Mohler #3 5-11/185 RB/DB JUNIOR

WayLon Rentz #19 5-11/205 RB/LB SENIOR

I watched them play Milan Edison & they handled Milan, keeping the game under control, utilizing Kruse & Rentz & rarely Mohler.

Last night, i watched the LC/CSR game & they utilized Mohler a little more, sending Kruse wide out, misdirection, & then up the gut with Mohler Or Rentz.

CSR was fast too, but no match overall with LC’s 3-Headed monster, not counting an efficient QB IN 6-4 / 210, Grady Miller.

OVERALL the stats went:

CSR: 262 ground. LC: 221 GROUND.
34 pass= 296. 61 PASS = 282.
5 fumbles 1 int. No turnovers.
4/13 3d conversions. 2/8 3d conversions.

LC can pass & did so On the 2nd play of the CSR game for a 61-yd TD. They remind me of Lutz Era full backfield A LOT!

They had some miscues, but mostly clean.

Both Mohler & Rentz are big & shifty & Kruse is hard to stop too with that lengthy frame.

This will be IRON most talented team faced & will take IRON’s best game of the year…

IRON IMPROVING EACH PLAYOFF WEEK.

They can do this!!!

And these will be the same people that will be finger.Pointing and shocked if Ironton gets punched in the mouth and loses in canton again. This team is no joke . They are battle tested and let's never forget what happens when seo teams play in canton. I see this as a toss up. Go Fighting Tigers

I take.
Back what I said in my earlier post. I was talking about liberty center. And they are a very good team. Liberty city I have never heard of. Maybe their first year competing in d5.

I think Ironton will need to settle in and limit big plays early. They got punched in the mouth against South Range two years ago and couldn’t mentally recover. That stellar defense got shelled, constant missed tackles, open receivers, it was hard to watch. Need to see multiple guys around whoever has the ball as much as possible.

A couple things to note is Liberty Center has only allowed 83 points (5.5 ppg) all year and have 7 shut outs. Ironton has allowed 166 points (11.1 ppg) and have 5 shut outs. Offensive numbers do favor Ironton though with 734 points (48.9 ppg) to Liberty Center’s 632 points (42.1 ppg) on the season. Assuming my math was correct and I didn’t misread any numbers.

With all of this being said, I really hope this is the year man. I’ll take Ironton by 7.

Been watching football a long time. I watched when Ironton won it all in 1979, and I was there when ironton won it all in 1989, and i was there when Liberty Center got theirs in 1997 ( if i remember correctly vs Amanda Clear Creek ). I think this game is a toss up. I think Ironton must play mistake free football to win this game. LC will be the most disciplined, fastest team Ironton has seen all season, and it will take their best game to beat them. My heart says 21-14 ironton but my head says the north wins again 21-20. LC is a typical northern powerhouse. They remind me of the Great Bob Lutz era, 3 yards and a cloud of dust football run heavy offense only throwing about 5 times per game with a nasty defense. Ironton Fighting Tigers go out there and play your best game of the season, and leave it all on the field and you have a chance to accomplish what only 2 other Ironton teams have ever done! MAKE HISTORY!!! Side note: ( it's Liberty Center, not Central ) cmon man it's a state championship game, atleast get that part right. Embarrassing...SMH...

You’re hearing it here first, Liberty City has absolutely no chance of winning this game. Guaranteed.

My heart says Ironton 27-21
My brain says Liberty Center 42-20
I’ve watched Liberty Center 3 times this year and they’re on a level all by themselves. They’ve knocked off 3 very tough undefeated opponents in an row including a 48-14 dismantling of a South Range team that is every bit as good as Ironton. I hope I’m wrong but I’ve seen enough of Liberty Center to add my 2 cents.

LC is a run heavy team that only passed the ball 4x vs SR. I think Ironton can load the box and stop the run and let CB Johnson & CB Terry be on islands the whole game and then let FS Mullins cover the middle and get his 7th INT of the year

How does OHSAA determine the Home vs Away teams? Cinn Moeller, Kirtland and Marion local are also away teams for the state game

Liberty Central has absolutely no chance of winning this game. Bet me if you think they do. I know no one will cause you know I’m always right on with my predictions.

I never bet on sports other than yesterday and won as usual. What a disappointment. Anyways, Ironton needs to come out fast and put the hammer down the whole game. Rooting for them to do great things and bring home the title. Liberty is a tough club. I'm sure you don't have to tell the tigers that.

Look on OHSAA website at their brackets they make for the final 4. Whoever is the top team is the home team. Has no bearing on rankings. Just depends on how they set up the final 4.
