Probably not going to happen, but if it did the attendance would be off the chain. I would drive from Chillicothe to see this epic battle.

this game won’t happen. I do hear that possibly another matchup in marshall stadium with a new opponent may be in the works

LOL, neither of those account are run by coaches or school affiliates it's just a fan base. Did anyone REALLY believe that's how teams signup and play each other?? Come on now, it's AD's contacting AD's. IF this game were to happen their wouldn't be speculation like this before it would simply be done.

ML would have hung a running clock on Ironon this season.

Wrong.

There is a twitter/X handle named ohioscheduler that gets a lot of these conversations started. Of course AD's have to talk to work out the contracts and logistics. That will always be the case. The world is different. Games aren't set up by AD's cold calling AD's in 2024.

Because the age demogaphic in seo scales so old, many are extremely out of touch now.

Getting talks started and scheduling is 2 totally different things, also if you read the article it shows irontonfootball and Marion Local Football and as you can read on there no affiliation with the school. Thanks for the information but doesn't apply here.

100% have ppl already forgot that Ironton has gone up to Marion Local after Ironton was out of the playoffs to try and see how they do things. They're not strangers and they don't need twitter it's why I said earlier 2 accounts ran by ppl with no affiliation with the school.

You’re wrong though lol, Ironton socials are in fact ran by a coach, last name happens to start with P.

Well that may be but I can promise you that Goodwin isn’t talking to coaches on twitter for games lol

Why do you say that? the largest school DVII Marion Local faced this year was a DV school which was 5-6 Versailles. I don't have a crystal ball, and neither does anyone else but the fact of the matter is, it's like arguing who would have won, Muhammed Ali or Rocky Marciano if they faced each other (I heard Ali with my own two ears say he didn't know if he could have won against Marciano, he said that would respect and humility that wasn't usually found in his created persona everyone loved so much)

I'd love to see these two teams play each other, I'll make the drive.

  That's funny he might be on there, but he's got other administrators running it who have permission to post stuff. It's why they've made post about people talking negatively about the team or Ironton football in general and referenced the admins and their names who will remove those people from the heard. Nice try though,
