Re: TVC and TSL merger
This is poorly thought out. Odd number means everyone plays some late season non conference game. You would be better cutting two teams out and going with three divisions of 6. If memory serves me, this si exactly what Danny is doing with his behind closed doors conversations about TVC expansion. Dump Point Pleasant and Federal Hocking and you have chance here.

I remember all the conference realignment stuff of last year or the year and a half....... I think its fun to try an matchup things, but none of these teams are ever going to leave their situations. Throw in the MVL as well

Agreed, this is never going to happen. For one thing, VC will never agree to being stuck with GA.Play60Football wrote: Fri Jan 17, 2025 1:04 pm I remember all the conference realignment stuff of last year or the year and a half....... Absolutely. No points from a 1-9 team. VC would want in the top division.Old Shorts wrote: Fri Jan 17, 2025 5:45 pmAgreed, this is never going to happen. VC wants in the top division? Now that is hilarious. BTW what happened the last time VC played GA? Yep, and that was with your guy coaching them.Dundas wrote: Fri Jan 17, 2025 7:54 pmAbsolutely. VC would’ve won that division last year with ease. In a down year… so yea, let’s move the Vikings up for some competition.Old Shorts wrote: Fri Jan 17, 2025 8:00 pmVC wants in the top division? If Logan leaves the OCC, they better bring Teays Valley and team up with Jackson, Chillicothe, Miami Trace and schools like that. That would be their best fit.

Oh, I get your joke now. But to be serious VC would win that division less often than they do the TVC Ohio. Less often as in never. Re: TVC and TSL merger
If the TVC wanted the TSL schools to join, it would have already happened. No need to keep beating this dead horse. I personally would hate to see Marietta and Warren in the TVC, even in some type of 3/4 division setup. Need to stay patient with the TSL and get Logan on board imo. With Coach Peyton, a TSL coach, taking over I really think that move could happen eventually. Get a program like Logan on board and I think you see an Athens, Gallia Acad., or WV school become more interested. 6 teams would be perfect for football.

“Less often as in never.” But yet they would’ve won it last year. Great take!Old Shorts wrote: Sat Jan 18, 2025 7:54 amOh, I get your joke now. @Eaglepawpaw we’re talking about a hypothetical division with VC, Gallia, Oak Hill, Wellston and River valley. Not the tsl from a year ago. If you look up a few posts, you’ll see it.Eaglepawpaw wrote: Sun Feb 02, 2025 10:42 amVC would have finished last in the TSL last year.Dundas wrote: Fri Jan 31, 2025 9:03 pm“Less often as in never.” But yet they would’ve won it last year. Re: TVC and TSL merger
Morgan is getting pummeled in the big MVL don’t tell me they wouldn’t be better off in TSL. Logan and Morgan are just kidding with themselves.
Re: TVC and TSL merger
Would be a way better competitive fit for both schools. Logan has no hope of winning anything in the major sports, ever, barring something miraculous happening. I know they had some success in volleyball and other sports, but baseball, basketball, and football have no chance in the OCC.EasternDspy wrote: Mon Feb 03, 2025 9:59 am Morgan is getting pummeled in the big MVL don’t tell me they wouldn’t be better off in TSL. As for Morgan, I know the MVL guys on here have made good, informed points as to why they stay. Long time members, duration contracts with the MVL, and so on. But competitively, the TSL or MVL small makes way more sense over the long term.
Both schools already play TSL members on a regular basis anyway. Might as well make it official.

Re: TVC and TSL merger
Morgan had a recent flurry of some success in the small school with a few coaches, Bowman being a big one in football as an alum...... He stepped away, then took another job the next year at a league rival, to me that's telling of what is coming for the Raiders. And being in the big is going to be tough, they'll probably be back in the small here soon anyways. But it was also telling that when they had the opportunity to jump to TSL a few months back knowing what they have coming they decided to stay..... I feel they're never going to leave.EasternDspy wrote: Mon Feb 03, 2025 9:59 am Morgan is getting pummeled in the big MVL don’t tell me they wouldn’t be better off in TSL. Re: TVC and TSL merger
But that’s not the division you said you would want VC in. You said you wanted them in “the top division” that has Logan, Warren, Athens, Marietta etc. There’s no way VC would agree to that. They dodged a chance to be in a division with those teams before and they know they’d probably never win a championship in that division.Dundas wrote: Sun Feb 02, 2025 9:59 pm@Eaglepawpaw we’re talking about a hypothetical division with VC, Gallia, Oak Hill, Wellston and River valley. Re: TVC and TSL merger
Morgan is in the big school next year and then the following year Maysville and Morgan switch divisions again. Morgan has some small classes in the elementary schools. After next year, looks like many many years in the small school division.
