Great matchup and test for the Tigers.
Win or lose this will still be a win for Ironton and their players.

How much money does ironton have to pay teams to come play in the classic?

we are offering temporary weekend jobs at the ironton taco bell. the parents get to work there and get paid for the weekend. and the, coaches, bus drivers, team, band, cheerleaders, and majorettes. each get a 7.00 lux box. ytb.

It’s just hard to believe teams give up home games to me I would think that they would have to get something

I’d say half of the gate and part of concessions. Considering that Ironton’s home side is always sold out, it’s probably very lucrative for them to travel.

LCA has won 7 State Championships since 2000 and is 346-152-4 in their school’s history for football.

I get that they are a state champ but they are from Virginia. I enjoy watching ironton play they have lot of good players, if they are able to do things like this classic and bring ppl in from all over surely they could get Ohio teams to come. I can name 100 teams I would rather see at an event like this and they are all Ohio teams. I am biased about Ohio football though, but seeing a state champ from most states in the country reguardless of size does nothing for me I would pay double to see ironton vs teams like Marion or bloom Carrol

my guess would be something very near that. and that sounds very logical to me.

I read on Yappi where Moeller, St. Eds and Watterson have all committed to the Classic. Moeller is playing Mt. Carmel from Chicago, IL and they are still seeking opponents for St Eds and Watterson. Has the potential of being an amazing weekend of football.

Being a state finalist these past few years makes these games easier to pickup. Congratulations on the addition

The Classic is a showcase type weekend. Think back to Herbstreits Ohio vs the world showcase he put on. They get three teams from Ohio and pick up three out of state teams to play. Cincinnati Moeller is playing Chicago Mt Carmel defending 7A state champs from Illinois. And Bishop Watterson is the other Ohio but not sure who they got coming in to play them.

Oh. And the contacted Marion to play week one and they declined.
