Just heard Ironton will be visiting Cincinnati Archbishop McNicholas week 3. Should be a good matchup McNick is D3 and returns a lot of talent from a 10-3 2024 season. I assume McNick will play at Ironton in 2026.

You lost a couple of transfers who went back to their home school… remember a resident moving out doesn’t count on your CB numbers.
Nobody has left Ironton!!

The young man from Racelands Dad is from Ironton and lives in Ironton, what’s the CB # for that? He’s the only one that’s actually transferred and enrolled so far. We had a couple that graduates that counted against us.
It would depend on who has custody until they are 18. Logic would say that the person living in Kentucky probably is the custodial parent or they would have had to been paying out of state tuition to attend. Every school needs custodial paperwork so that is how it is put into the system and how/if it counts in the CB numbers.
These days there is also shared custodial parenting where the child spends required time to establish with each parent giving them both shared custodial status

Oh I totally get shared parenting and have first hand experience with it. Even it is 50-50 parenting, there still has to be a residential parent for school purpose only in Ohio. The state has to know where that child’s funding goes and then an open enrolled school has to recoup that from the home district. It may be different if the divorce was filed in Kentucky.

Why must everyone talk in code when someone transfers in??? Just say who it is instead of dancing around it

Because the mods would take down the post. And if the behind the scenes info was shared, the entire thread would be removed.

So talking in code is the only option.

Seems like a universal “oh well” from the Burg people inside and outside of the program I’ve talked to about it.*

The talk in code guys are just like the I heard guys. They basically know nothing and deal totally in rumors and gossip.

I have no issue talking in code for the privacy of the player as they aren’t an adult. But don’t go around comparing said player to others and talking about how good they can be and so forth. That’s what’s irritating about the talking in code. The mods have let much worse fly on this site

I’m not comparing player A to B. My comment is about a specific kid who is potentially transferring, and all the drama behind the scenes.

Many on this site already know but talk in code to prevent the conversation from being stopped.

Anyway, if the transfer does come to fruition, it will make for an interesting discussion, especially if we are allowed to discuss the behind the scenes stuff.

I should’ve worded it better, you are not comparing them but others are. I’m not too concerned with what’s going on behind the scenes other than who’s leaving where to go to where. And I am one of those people who aren’t aware of who it is and is in the know all the time

This convo is no longer directly related to OP. Mods need to be consistent and lock this thread also.
