Didn’t they play week 1 last year and week 14?BurgFan43 wrote: Sun Feb 23, 2025 6:16 pmYou have enough confidence to say you will sport a Burg shirt on the Monday of week 7 if there is no running clock. Different time of the season with different results.Schoolboy wrote: Sun Feb 23, 2025 5:59 pmWhy would a wheelersburg fan worry themselves about who Ironton plays their first game when they got pimp slapped last year in both games?BurgFan43 wrote: Sun Feb 23, 2025 12:10 pm
I disagree, but we all have our opinions. I assure you have a an extensive educational background so I am far from ignorant. Your cupcake in week 1 will allow you to beat your chest and talk of a running clock at least. You do have hope there playing the little brother of Pikeville who was 4-6.
The only reason wheelersburg had a winning record last year was they played in a very weak SOC.
They moved from game 1 to game 6 this upcoming year.
The results will be the same.
Running clock again.
You can expect/predict anything… it all comes down to the results in week 6 of the upcoming season. You going to wear that Burg shirt week 7 if there is no running clock. You forgot to answer that. I will sport an Ironton shirt if there is if you want to make a commitment.Schoolboy wrote: Sun Feb 23, 2025 7:32 pmDidn’t they play week 1 last year and week 14?BurgFan43 wrote: Sun Feb 23, 2025 6:16 pmYou have enough confidence to say you will sport a Burg shirt on the Monday of week 7 if there is no running clock. What were those results?
They had a lot more time to get the pieces up and running as you say.![]()
How did that work out for ya?
I expect the same this year.
I really don’t want you to wear an Ironton shirt. Next thing you know you will be an Ironton fan, coming to games and tailgating and wheelersburg would be a thing of the past for you.BurgFan43 wrote: Sun Feb 23, 2025 7:50 pmYou can expect/predict anything… it all comes down to the results in week 6 of the upcoming season. In other words, you are good. You don’t have the confidence to take the risk. It’s all good! You don’t have to worry about me being becoming a fan. I’ll stick with my Pirates!!Schoolboy wrote: Sun Feb 23, 2025 10:23 pmI really don’t want you to wear an Ironton shirt. If for some reason Ironton would only win by 29 then I would have to wear that shirt, my employer would not allow it due to having a nasty word on it.lol

To answer your question, we were a little less than at close to $11 million in college scholarships if I remember correctly. They also have a student population of around 600 in the HS where we only have close to 300 so we are close. How much scholarships did your school give out??

Know the facts!!!
Boards of education are required to adopt a board policy requiring students in grades seven through 12 to attain a minimum grade point average, established by the board, as a condition of participation in interscholastic extracurricular activities. Boards also are required to adopt a policy either prohibiting or allowing student participation when a student has received a failing grade for any class during the previous grading period. In addition to board policy and administrative guidelines regarding student eligibility and participation in interscholastic extracurricular activities, districts also must adhere to the rules and regulations set forth by the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA).artisgilmore wrote: Mon Feb 24, 2025 8:50 amAll the kids playing football for every team will have the grades.BurgFan43 wrote: Sun Feb 23, 2025 6:18 pmKids have to have the grades before they can play football. I am not sure why I have to keep repeating this, but I have family coaching in SEO, I'll give you one guess where they coach.
Secondly, do you really believe everyone on this site currently lives in SEO? Come on man, act like an adult.
You have no idea how to apply to by-laws of the OHSAA. You're so random dude who IS NOT A COACH, TEACHER, or ADMIN. You're just a guy who likes to google and you spit out random regulations without knowing how to apply them.
A talking head? This is a sports chat forum. This isn't ESPN.
Of all of the posters on this site who want to talk about "facts" you're probably in the least position to do so.

Believe it or not, someone who likes to see one side of anything is a talking head who just post to hear yourself talk with a bias opinion. I have already came to the conclusion that your view is skewed before you admitted you had family.
You are welcome to ignore my posts by just not responding. I would appreciate that very much.

Please show them how to ignore someone. I doubt they actually want to ignore anyone. They just don’t like other people’s opinion if it is different from their own perspective. The Ghost of Swanker wrote: Mon Feb 24, 2025 9:10 amThere actually is an ignore function on this site.avalanche wrote: Fri Feb 21, 2025 1:41 pmI wish there were an ignore function on this site, you'd be the first one on it. What is your board policy for being eligible to play??? Some schools say as long as they have a 1.0 GPA which is a joke.

You are educating me here… so you are saying they must have to get a D- on 5 out of 7 classes which can be weightlifting or PE? That seems very weak and doesn’t help get the kid to graduation with their seals they need.avalanche wrote: Mon Feb 24, 2025 11:30 amBurgFan43 wrote: Mon Feb 24, 2025 9:01 amBoards of education are required to adopt a board policy requiring students in grades seven through 12 to attain a minimum grade point average, established by the board, as a condition of participation in interscholastic extracurricular activities. The OHSAA sets the eligibility requirements in the state of Ohio, and a district can make it more strict if they want, but the OHSAA says you have to pass 5 out of 7. That's the ONLY grade requirement made by the state. There is no GPA requirement.
