After reading how all the I-Town people like to say 92-7, I decided to look at the 10 year trend…. After all it is a good gauge to the overall programs.

Win totals for the past 10 years:

Wheelersburg 8 wins including 3 playoff wins in 2014, 2015, 2021
Ironton 6 wins with the lone playoff win against the Burg in 2024

Point totals for the past 10 years;

Wheelersburg 310
Ironton 259

I guess it was a good thing that you did score 92 this past season because it was really upside down without those points.

Well, if you're gonna go back ten years, you may as well go back through the entire series - which would favor Ironton in a HUGE way. You had a respite during the Vass years. Otherwise, wheelersburg often has not been competitive.

I seriously doubt it would favor Ironton is a big way. I would have to see those stats to believe that.

Ironton may not have Terry but they will be more balanced and the have a QB who is a true game changer.

Based on what? The presumption of Edwards being great is to be determined. Schreck was outstanding this year. In addition to that Ironton lost an experienced defense. Burg should have pieces, but they are unknown right now

Edwards could have been the starter last year but was not needed.
The Defense lost some players yes but the under classmen got some great experience last year.
And the running game will be better with Williams and Carmen but talented backs.

Got news for you. Players and coaches bailing out from the sinking ship and heading up the road to play and coach for the Champs. The pirate ship has officially sunk.

Burg may not be winning the regionals here as of late but they still go there. I don’t think that ship has sunk at all. Getting the most out of their kids is what they’ve been doing

I agree the silliness as gotten out of control.
Burg is a good program and did well last year.
They won the games they should have and lost the games they should.
They played well in all games except for Ironton they should have beat prep and hung with the Cindy team.
And Jackson
Ironton was just a different beast
And will be for the next couple of years.
I hope the best for Burg until they play Ironton
