I agree the silliness as gotten out of control.
Burg is a good program and did well last year.
They won the games they should have and lost the games they should.
They played well in all games except for Ironton they should have beat prep and hung with the Cindy team.
And Jackson
Ironton was just a different beast
And will be for the next couple of years.
I hope the best for Burg until they play Ironton
Burg will continue to improve with an amazing core group returning to hoist the Jolly Roger. Ironton loses a lot of kids from both sides of the ball plus losing Terry is an impossible piece to replace.

A guy in another forum said you could have had Marion Local week 1 but your AD would only do a Home and home contract. I guess you don’t want to play anyone at anytime. Just anyone at the Tank. He knew Marion wouldn’t take two away games. They want a gate as well with their success.

Ironton could be 1-6 headed into Fairland week with their schedule. I guess they had to keep a couple of OVC schools on their schedule along with picking up Shelby Valley. Could be a sub .500 year for the Tiger faithful but will still make the playoffs with the 16 team expansion. There is always that hope for you.

Your a fool Marion local denied Ironton’s request to play week one.
Get your facts strait and be ready for another running clock to be played on the burg by Ironton
Agree, the Fighting Tigers was willing to travel to play Marion Local.

That once might Pirate ship is listing 30 degrees to port. Soon, she'll roll on over, her stern will take on water and she'll slip down into the 'Sea of Mediocrity'
Wonder if all the implants and front runners will move their kids back to the schools they graduated from? It's easy to front run and put on pirate shirts and shake your jugs when things are going well.

According to ML athletic department, Ironton wanted a home-home contract. Guess they thought they needed the zebras help like always at the Stank!!

I’m sure ML wanted nothing to do with Ironton on the first offer for a home and home contract. With their success, they don’t have to accept a contract like that. Ironton should have started with a good offer to go to ML first since of their record of success. Ironton is no longer invincible with Terry gone and they don’t have to visit Stank Stadium.

Yes sir!! That is a HS athletic contract where a team will agree play two years at the same site. The team accepting the contract would travel both years. No team that is successful as ML would accept that contract but it was worth the try I guess. ML is far more successful and if anything should be offering home and home to Ironton.

Wrong - Here I thought you knew everything, I guess I was wrong too lol.

Here's a more detailed explanation:

Scheduling Agreement:
A "home and home" contract is a specific type of scheduling agreement in high school football, or any sport, where two teams agree to play each other in each other's home stadiums.

Alternating Home Games:
The key characteristic of a home and home contract is that the teams alternate hosting the other team in their respective home stadiums over a set period, usually a season or a series of seasons.

Benefits:
This type of agreement ensures that each team gets the opportunity to play in front of their home crowd, and it can also help with scheduling and logistics, as it avoids the need for one team to travel to the other's stadium multiple times.

Ironton and Marion Local was NEVER going to happen it wasn’t the actual account of the head coach that said that they were looking for a game. Hilarious how delusional everyone is on the topic

He’s over on Yappi spreading the same BS, going by SEOhio411. He started a thread “Ironton Football 2025”, then went on to continue bashing them lol. He’s trying his hardest to find a way to get Ironton in trouble.

If he puts as much effort into his job as he does doing all this research and bashing of Ironton, he’s probably one heck of an employee
