Yeah. Let’s go get an old guy who hasn’t done much instead of a young guy who’s got things to prove and lives locally. The AD needs replaced at Warren. Can’t wait to see who he tries to fill the possible vacancy for basketball.EasternDspy wrote: Wed Mar 12, 2025 3:49 pmThey told him they are going in a different directionFletchlives wrote: Wed Mar 12, 2025 2:19 pmI heard the same thing..he had to contact them.EasternDspy wrote: Wed Mar 12, 2025 1:03 pm Couldn’t even give Kupfner a respect call to tell him he didn’t get the job.

Exactly. Here’s a young guy who is a great person, great coach and great teacher that would commit long term as a teacher and strung him along. Then went with a guy who hasn’t stayed anywhere vey long and hasn’t had much success. Pretty dirty IMO.TigerALUM99 wrote: Wed Mar 12, 2025 4:16 pm

Have you heard possible names for basketball? A group of fans (might include a board member) may have a preference already.TigerALUM99 wrote: Wed Mar 12, 2025 4:16 pm

Yes and they could have had JB. He would have groomed the young baller you speak of and prepped him for a long future with the Blue. JB would have gotten everyone believing and then turned the young gun loose to shine in a few years. Thought a deal was imminent but the financials didn’t add up. Good luck with the below average old guy. Hopefully you’ll have better results with that than Belpre has. You gotta BELIEVE.Fletchlives wrote: Wed Mar 12, 2025 8:13 pmExactly. Belpre is still hung over from the JB “Believe” era. Not even Nick Saban could fix that problem.JBsezBELIEVE wrote: Thu Mar 13, 2025 7:26 amYes and they could have had JB. I think you have to wait until he puts his name in the portal for that kind of talk. But, you working on an NIL package in the meantime?

Always keep in the back of your mind that it’s the guy who left who’s to blame. He wasn’t fired. He left! He saw greener grass on the other side of the fence. Time to start blaming the guy who everyone thought walked on water.

Re: Warren Coaching Job
Come on man. We have to stop using that excuse. We lost to Fed Hocking (a JV team) last year for gosh sakes. I wish if Warren was going to hire an older coach with a really bad record and resume they would have hired the one from Belpre. His only claim to fame is that he called the plays at the Fort the year they beat the MAC team, according to him. Unfortunately, now both Belpre and Warren have an old coach that haven’t won very many games. But hey, at least we aren’t Marietta, right?UncleRico05 wrote: Thu Mar 13, 2025 9:26 amBelpre is still hung over from the JB “Believe” era.
