Coldwater has always been a nightmare and will continue to be so. They would have won D4, D5 or D6 championship last year hands down

Yeah they would have won D5 hands down. Ironton wants no part of Coldwater.

Re: Coldwater
Did you go the whole year without losing a game?? Nah… just shows you were beatable. Coldwater would have done the same. I’m sure if it but we will never know. That team is gone forever.Schoolboy wrote: Mon Mar 10, 2025 11:11 pmThat definitely wouldn’t happen.Pirate1745 wrote: Mon Mar 10, 2025 10:44 pmOne will never know… they have been a powerhouse for many years and may have been able to stop Terry.Schoolboy wrote: Mon Mar 10, 2025 10:22 pm

What will Wheelersburg be remembered as last year????
Nothing.
Neither game last year would even be considered a good scrimmage for the State Champs. Lol

It would have been a great game. I’m not saying Ironton would win but you can’t count them out with the defense and the offensive weapons they had.
It would have been awesome to see them play this upcoming season.
ML had the opportunity to play in a home and home series with Ironton but chose not to do so.
You do know what that is don’t you??? Lol

Re: Coldwater
Coldwater has 8 state championships with the second best playoff winning percentage over .800 and 2nd most in playoff wins. Coldwater also has a near 0 in CB number so they don’t get kids from other area schools like other schools. They are just that good!! Marion and Coldwater would have handled Ironton like the Canadian team did. All we heard was excuses when you lost and said they were the Canadian IMG school which they are not.Schoolboy wrote: Fri Mar 14, 2025 6:31 pmYou have no clue if they could have beat Ironton or not.Pirate1745 wrote: Fri Mar 14, 2025 1:03 pmYes, no doubt about it!Dowfut wrote: Fri Mar 14, 2025 9:07 am Coldwater got beat 35 to zip by ML.I know ML is great, but do you really they could have handled Ironton?![]()

Who cares about how many championships either team has. I’m talking last season.
Ironton had a special team. Fantastic defense and an incredible offense led by Shawn Terry.
With exception to some of the elite D1 and D2 schools, Ironton would have been competitive with everyone else.
They were just that good.
Whinersburg Pirates found that out the hard way. Twice. Lol
The Canadian team did not handle Ironton. They beat Ironton by 1 point. It was a great game. It was the best team Ironton played the entire year. That’s what gets you ready for the playoffs and winning a state championship.
As far as transfers, that happens everywhere in all sports and it’s not going to stop.
Get over it.
It makes you sound like a little ……

Re: Coldwater
You love stats with any other time but don’t when they don’t favor your side of the conversation. Terry was no doubt a one of a kind athlete that will go down in Ironton history but he is gone. As you said, this past team is history. You won’t be putting your running clocks on teams in the future. Your fanbase whined about losing to the Canadian IMG team last year. I’m sure we will hear the same with the NY or VA team coming in. You have to get outside teams to come in to fill your schedule. Local teams are tired of you transferring in their local talent to be on your tri-state allstar team. Your CB numbers should be through the roof coming up in May.

I don’t know if I will ever be able to watch them play football again.
Thank you for that vital information. Lol

May will be here before you know it and we will know the CB numbers. We already know what Coldwater’s CB numbers will be since they don’t poach from other teams and will be near 0.Schoolboy wrote: Fri Mar 14, 2025 11:26 pmAre you kidding me??
