New Racine Southern Coach

Does anyone have any info on who is or has applied?
Seems odd they kicked the old coach to the curb only 2 years removed from making the first and only playoff appearance in school history. Is there more to this story?

I agree TVC, they were well coached when they played us---they got hit pretty hard by the injury bug. I thought they did a nice job. But in coaching it's "What have you done for me lately."

I would say in most cases its what have you done for me lately but there are cases where even that means nothing.

Unfortunately it is. I was told the board voted 4-1 in favor of not renewing his contract. I still say something stinks here and personal agendas are at play in my opinion.

I felt he did a nice job. Now the question is did he have the support of the Superintendent because it takes a 4-1 vote to over turn the recommendation of the Superintendent.

The next question that has to be asked, will they have a teaching opening or do they already have someone in mind. Southern has one of the lowest teaching salary in the State of Ohio so it maybe hard to bring someone in from the outside.

I have heard nothing but your clues made that a logical guess. Just heard today that Coach Wickline was not coming back from a friend. My friend was a little surprised but I was not. Southern did not have the year that some believed they should have but they lost a big part of their offense with one injury.
