Congrats to Burg on 10-0. I do think Burg will win the region and make it to the final four. Burg fans just better hope that they don't get matched up against Coldwater until the state final. Coldwater is a machine and will likely win yet another D5 state title.

I would agree with this. Wheelersburg is very good but I think they were better and more talented last year. Statistically this defense may be better but that has as alot to do with teams like Jackson and West were much better last year.

This years defense is one of the fiercest I have seen in years. These kids hit and hit hard. Once again they just dominated the LOS on both sides of the ball. Very impressive performance again and it it looks like Ironton looms for them next week. Heeeeere, kitty kitty.

Congrats Pirates on the 10-0 season. With all of the talent around here anymore that is a hard task to achieve.


Everyone talking about Burg not being able to beat Coldwater, if they meet is absurd. I remember in 1989 when they faced Warren JFK everyone said they would get slaughtered. They were too big up front. There QB was to fast and they had that bruiser of a RB. Well, Burg had some size up front. They contained the QB all day and they pretty much shut down that bruiser of a RB, with the big play coming on a 4th and 1 when they were driving for the tying score.


No one gave them a chance against Hartley last year either and everyone saw what happened there.


I think this Burg team can play with anyone in DIV V. They can wear you down with that big line and grind out some yards and then break off a big pass play for a long gain.
