Andy Schobs son Evan Schob started at G last night and did a good job. Also had some nice runs at FB. A ton of young Cadets with great talent might not make huge impacts this year but will in the future. Players such as Tyler Fisher FR RB, Bickford Fr DL, Brennen Huck So S, and Timmy Pritchard FB. I love the way the program has been built.

Agreed. Just needs to not press as he will not be in on as much action

Nice work figuring all that out! I think right now though, CalPreps can be off a bit the first few weeks into the season and pre-season. Often times they don't get sent team previews from teams in Ohio, therefore they don't have much to go off of other than where last season left off. Looking at those top 8, it looks like a good reflection of who the top 8 teams in region 21 were last season. Regardless, I would not be shocked if those are the 8 teams from 21 that qualify for the playoffs this season.

Ready will have it hard since they play such a tough schedule.

That's true. They will lose to Hartley. They wIll beat Meadowbrook though which should result in some nice first and second level points for them.

Utica beat Caldwell last night 31-28. Dalton Ivey did have over 200 and 3tds. Caldwell could be suspect on defense.

According to how I think Caldwell will pan out this year I'm not really surprised by that score. Utica probably won't be very good, but not terrible at the same time. With all that being said they are scrimmages for a reason. Some coaches want to stay very generic which is smart, but can reflect a "poor" score in a scrimmage. Some coaches want to intimidate their week 1 opponent and just absolutely blast teams in scrimmages which I can understand too. Hard to really tell anything from a scrimmage unless you are there and could witness things that scores don't show like physicality, energy, etc.

Caldwell could struggle at DB and in the trenches.

As of last night then it sounds like FF should beat them in controlling fashion. From what you saw do you think any of the following between MC, BT and Shenandoah could beat them too?

I've been following PVC for a few years, but never posted. Figured I'd finally make an account this season.

Finals
FF over Belpre 35-0
Doah tops Frontier 42-0
Trail loses to Ridgewood 21-0
UL defeats Monroe Central 48-8
LU beats Caldwell 53-6

No close games this week

The league looks really down judging by week 1. Most were worried about Gaydos at Caldwell and I think judging by this most could be right. Would love a recap.

Yes Eastern, I'd see CHS losing to a div 5 after losing a lot, and LU becoming more experienced, but this was a route

Cadets soft schedule could hurt them.
