I'm reading on here about the two teams playing each other before, and so and so had the game on film. What are you guys talking about? When have these kids played each other in high school? You can't be talking about JH games, are you? Piketon has some great kids returning, but I would pull back the reigns a bit if I were you, Redstreak nation. The past is certainly not indicative of the future, but I think 2-19 should at least make you hesitate before you render the 'Streaks Pike Co. Champs.
I don't think the Piketon players care much about the past record. This will be a great game to watch. But putting the records aside i am still picking piketon.
All the talk on here about the 08' season and none of us know who will be where come that time. Once practice starts and we know where kids are and who's playing then we can talk.
it has a lot to deal with considering redstreakpassrusher or whatever his name is. all he talks about is how piketon could have dominated waverly in the past when we all know that waverly would of murdered piketon in the past 2 seasons. aside from all of that ignorance displayed by redstreakpassrusher i think this is going to be an evenly matched game. piketon has more experience coming back but how will the seniors lead the team. waverly has the 2 most talented players on the field with malone and roback. yes redstreakpassrusher...we do have a runningback
Now that is a little hard for me to believe that Roback and Malone are the two best on the field... there will be some key players that might surprise you next year.
As talented as Waverly has been the past couple years they were one of the weakest teams around because of the weight room issues. Coach Crabtree does an awesome job with what he's given to work with but the administration must step up and do something about the issues concerning the weight room (access). Waverly's athletes will continue to fall further and further behind if they are not given the same opportunity as other schools.
Derek Roback is a D-1 player. far better than any other who has ever played at Waverly. Piketon can not/will not stop him. He can throw over you or through you or if he wants he will run over you. The Tigers just need to concentrate on week 2-10. "WEAK" 1 is in the bag.
Well... you must be from Waverly, and your telling me that Roback is already a good QB than Trevor Walls is. Roback hasent played a full game under center yet. And im just going to disregard the comment about "week 1" is in the bag. And from what i am being told, is that Robertson is going to be the QB. But i don't know if this is true or not.
Based on Flashing Cursor's posts on other threads, I'd say he is a Piketon fan and not from Waverly. It sounds like Flashing Cursor is trying to stir the pot, as if it hasn't been stirred enough.

Busted
However, I have watched Roback... he has the talent to do what I said and with his combination of speed and size he has the potential to go far.
ok im going to have to give my opinion on this game i think roback will play a huge role but on malone and roback being the best two players on the field no way heres my opinion 1-robertson(wav) 2-brabson(piketon) 3-roback(wav) 4-southworth(piketon) 5-helton(piketon) he has to much exp in the varsity lvl
Wow this game is 5 months away and heating up! lol
Position by position
QB Waverly Roback is an athlete, however not taking snaps during games will be one of his weak points in week 1, however the upside is good athlete who can hurt you running and throwing
Piketon Helton, 2 years experience with a good arm and sees the field welll. Has several options on who to throw the ball to and we all know good wide receivers makes a QB.
TB Waverly Malone Quick with burstability (this is a word I made up) means can stop and start quickly. Good size and runs hard.
Piketon Reed / Tackett both with good speed and Tackett also has that burstability. Both have gotten bigger and stronger so this duo is also dangerous.
WR Waverly, Roberson and not sure who else very good rangy athlete with good hands
Piketon Brabson / Southworth these two while not speed burners can go over you to catch and have very good hands
Line Waverly lose most from last year unsure of who returning
Piketon return three that started or played significant minutes. Not over sized, but mobile and strong. Both teams line play will be crucial, who develops their the best and quickest will get the advantage.
Defense most of these athletes listed will see both sides. What does all this add up to, IMO a very close comparison. Piketon might have more experience overall, but Waverlys players have had more success. Should be a dandy of a game.

Im sorry but that would never happen brabson best bet is at piketon and theres no way he'll leave his team he got his name at piketon so he will stay there
