Man, BBallin, how I hope you are right! I think if coach matches offense to players, and not players to offense, we will be ok. ;-)

Hey, I've seen this group from midget league up, now 10,11 and 12. I may be wrong! But with my gut feeling!!! we could see a good team in the works. I think they will make some noise!!!and turn some heads,I said this when my son was in the 6th grade and played for the Elks.Just got to wait and see.

Not knocking you BBfool!!!! I think we are going to be surprized myself. There's no ,what I call big name player, on this team. Therefore I (JMO)think this team will win more with a team effort cause no certain Indv. will get the credit!!!!!! as has been in the past!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the big blue will be only as good as there defense is, i remember the good blue devil teams and the had shut down d, the offense will be there but if they dont get back to playing defense we arent going to be very good. to be honest i havent seen a good d since coach saunders retired, all they think about is offense, which is good but defense wins championships, last leage title 1995. thats not good,

Defense definitely wins championships, no doubt, but to put pressure on the kids to have to shut-out teams is unrealistic. Get stops and create turnovers on d. Plus what does it say to the offense when you tell the same kids that on d they need to pitch shut-outs. D does need to improve, especially against power running fball teams but I am sure the coaches are addressing that as well as offense. In years past we either pitched shut-outs or got beat, at least now we score points and give the d some breathing room. 1995?? Wow! Also the good Blue Devil teams?? We have had some of the best teams in decades lately, at least back to the days of Andy Howard. Late nineties thru 2006 was a tremendous run of athletes and solid teams.

They dont even know what they are getting; a great athlete but an even better person and student. Looking forward to seeing #2 playing on Saturdays the next four years!

I think he has a pretty good mentor working with him at urbana also
