Not sure if i can predict a score, but Ironton will not play like thay have dropped the last two games that is forsure. Many of these kids were on the field for both Hartley games last year this means a few things. A since of familiarity with the opposition, Ironton had succes against Harltey with certain plays last year that im sure they will revert back to this year. The feelings that these kids had last year watching Hartley win the championship, thinking "that very easily could have been us", well those feelings i can almost assure arent gone. Im going to take Ironton in this one comes down to the wire though.

Hartley is a much different team this year than last.

How would you compare this year's Hartley team to last year's, AHM? Are they even better?

I watched the Hartley/Ironton playoff game in Logan, so I'm curious about the strengths and weaknesses of this season's Hartley squad.

5-5 would likely sneak them in....6-4 fo sure and well....best of luck versus Hartley and in the playoffs. Maybe we can host for you guys in week 11.
you may host for week 12 but not week 11 which I explained on an earlier post.......

This one could get ugly fast.

I hope the Tigers can overcome and pull off the upset.
I worked in Newark for many years. It makes me laugh to hear this argument from a "newarkcatholicfan". When NC was the team to beat in their division year after year there were accusations of 'recruiting'.

I live in Buckeye Lake and to this day I hear people say Newark Catholic recruits. If they are recruiting the person who's in charge of the recruiting needs fired.

Hartley 34
Ironton 10

Few teams can touch Hartley in DIV.

Personally I'm rooting for an Amanda-Ironton first round game in the Pit. It'd be fantastic to see two great programs go at each other.

Okay, I know they are defending state champs, BUT, the schedule they have played so far this year does not impress me. Maybe they are saving their best for the Tigers.

They beat Amanda by 8, but Amanda is a team I would say in comparable to Ironton. The only school they played bigger than them is 0-7, so obviously weak. 3 of their other 4 games were against smaller opponents. And I see no powerhouse teams on that schedule.

Ironton has lost 3 games.......all to much larger enrollment schools. Their lone game against a smaller school was at least a good D-5 team in the Burg.

Ironton has a very good chance in this game. They had Hartley on the ropes last year at Logan and a TERRIBLE unsportsmanlike call changed the game!

I agree with that bogus call that cost I-town that game last year. Payback would be nice. Heres hoping you guys (I-town) a big W over the team up north.

I'm curious to see if Hartley's Offense continues to roll against the best defense they may face all year. To Ironton's credit, the lowest offensive output for Hartley Last year was in both of their games against Ironton.

I'll be there. Hartley should win @ home but you never know. Ironton will still be in the playoff's because they run from no one and the points at the end of every year prove it (regardless of record), Go Tigers !!!!!
