Need some help with SCIOTO COUNTY Schools

As some of you may or may not know, I'm putting together an online preview (www.tristatesportspage.com) for high school football which looks to include rosters, schedules, season outlook, and team photos for over 30 schools from Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky. I've been able to make a bunch of media days, but obviously not all. I've had some help from Kantucky and CameraGuy of http://www.southernohiosportsphotos.com on getting some of the teams I've needed, but don't have really anything from Scioto County other than Wheelersburg.

Is there anyone out there who can help me with the following schools (I'm trying to get rosters, schedules and team photos):

- MINFORD
- LUCASVILLE
- PORTSMOUTH
- PORTSMOUTH WEST
- NOTRE DAME
- SCIOTOVILLE

(not Scioto anymore, but still need...)

- PIKETON
- WAVERLY

If there's any way anybody out there could help me with these schools, I'd appreciate it. I'll edit this post as we go and take teams off that are taken care of. Thanks in advance.

The previews come out next thursday. It will have all the teams in it but your prob... wanting it before then. I have a copy of lasts years preview, you may be able to come up with a rough draft of who they may have.

Yeah... kinda' need stuff before then. Most teams have already distributed information and taken team photos, but I wasn't able to make it to all of them. Thanks though.

southernohiofootballfan, I don't know who you are or where you're from, but you need to do your homework. I'm the original around here. Nobody was doing photos online when I started. Camera Guy (Kent Sanborn) taught me what I needed to know about shooting sports photos and I went from there and started The Smoking Lens back in 2002. There have been oh... maybe 10-15 other online sports photo businesses pop up since about 2003 or 2004, but for a while it was just me. So... wanna' be??? That's kinda' funny for me...

Sports Junk, I know what you're talking about and have openly admitted to REALLY screwing up the Wheelersburg Little League order forms and not getting people's correct packages to them. For you readers who OBVIOUSLY don't know the whole story... after I messed up the orders, I went ahead and provided EVERYONE WHO ORDERED with my base package. Then for those who had ordered extras I posted FIRST an apology letter on my web site with instructions on how to receive the rest of their order (WHICH I'D STILL BE GLAD TO FULFILL TODAY). I had an online form they had to fill out with their name, address, contact information, child's team and child's jersey number. I had a few people only fill this out and they were able to get their packages. Others will fill out their name but NOTHING ELSE and there was nothing I could do with those submissions.

Furthermore, I posted a link to ALL PHOTOS online with the very minimum price for the prints so they could order as many as they wanted. The link is STILL available:

Also, the "Do not trust him" comment is definitely not deserved. Maybe "check with him to see if he's come up with a better system" would be more fair. I never want to do anybody wrong, and I'll do what I can to make things right... I tried and the options are still there.

Lastly, to follow up with the last paragraph, I have PLENTY of parents from Coal Grove little league baseball and football who were very pleased with their photos from football or baseball and many from the Fairland basketball, baseball, and softball who still tell me to this day that the photos I took of their kids were the best they've had.

*IF* - I said, if, someone really didn't get their photos I am sure it was an honest mistake and they should let thesmokinglens know it because I don't believe for one instant that he would rip someone off like that. I know him, he is honest and he sure isn't a thief.

Smoking Lens has taken action shots for Fairland for years and nobody has ever complained. he has always provided quality action shots and if there has ever been a problem he would take care of us. if there was a mistake I am quite sure he would have went above and beyond to correct it. I coached his son in football and I can tell you he understands first hand the importance of these photos and what they mean to the parents and kids. TSL you are always welcome on my sideline and I hope to see you there.

I was the President that year. You NEVER returned my call or e-mails before so why should I think you will now? Yes I still have the list of mistakes.

My point is, You messed up and never returned to explain what happened. You just stayed away and left me to take the heat. Very unprofessional of you.

Unbelievable. Yet humorous. Calling TSL a wanna-be? Howie is indeed the original. Many have come since, a few remain. None yet offer the quality of photos and service he provides. And I know a little about sports photography.

Sports Junky, if you have the "list of mistakes", get them to him. I have no doubt he will make it right. He has admitted to messing it up and done the best he can to clear it up. To get on a public forum and make the comments you have made is unprofessional, uncouth and does not speak well of a person that was recently the president of a children's organization. And you call him unprofessional? THAT is funny to me.

Again, Howie is the original and still the best in this business that our region has to offer. Not even a close second out there.......since I gave it up.....
