Lutz And Burcham - The Next Big Question??????
...is how we get these guys to an Ironton football game next year so all the fans can say a fond farewell and wish them the best and show the appreciation for all they done for Ironton? I'd say it might not be easy to do but I think it needs to be done

Next big question.....................
We all know that Portsmouth, four years ago, entered into it's 'Decade Of Despair'
With the departure of these...will this period of gloom be ended early or will they continue to waller in it?

I think merrill triplett would be an excellent choice as coach if given a chance!

Not wanting to stir up any thing here just what I heard and think.
I heard several years back the head coach at Raceland Ky was wanting the Ironton job when Lutz retired.
I believe if Ironton was smart they would keep a open mind and look at seeing if the Head coach at Fairview would be interested in taking the coaching job.
I know several people favor Lutz nephew and Vass for the job and they may be fine coaches in that respect but no one knows if they will be for sure or not.
The Ironton job will be not only stressful but challenging due to the fact people are going to want success right away.
This past year I heard more vocal fans hollering out at Lutz about his coaching than I ever heard about who should be playing and he was subbing in the game.
Ironton fans are spoiled to say the least but they are also proud fans.
True Ironton like any other programs have fans that go over the line at times with comments and disrespect of other programs but the next few years will tale the tale of what true fans are and if Ironton deserves to continue the great tradition Lutz has laid for the future here at Ironton High.

The next 2 or 3 years will be interesting no matter who the Coach is with the numbers that have come out in the last 2 Freshmen Classes. Last season we had 18 Juniors, 5 Sophomores and 12 Freshmen on the Team.
