WK 1 Fort Frye @ (Hannibal) River

Should be a long busride back to Beverly for Cadets. I know there's a new coach at FFHS, but River has enough talent on both sides of the ball to get the win.

Pilots made playoffs last season and should start off strong in '08 with a win, by say, 33-6.

I'll say 2 TD passes by Dylan Potts and double-digit tackles by River's all-Ohio first-team lineman D.J. Duke.

Good luck to the Fort next week at Belpre.

River won 35-0.

River quarterback Dylan Potts threw for around 100 yds. and ran for 120, including a 70-yd. TD run.

Fort Frye didn't get a first down until 4th qtr. They are really struggling with the passing game (1 completion) and didn't do any better on the ground

My sources told me River held FF to ZERO yds. for 3 qtrs.

Pilots are 1-0 but next 2 wks. play Magnolia and Monroe Central.

If Fort Frye wins next week at Belpre I will be shocked at the quick turnaround.

that qb is really good we played river two years ago at marietta college and the starting qb for river broke his collar bone he came in and did really good and he was only a freshman i think

Yes, that's Dylan Potts - only a junior. He's gotta be on some kina relay teams for the River track team.

He flew on that 70-yd. td run. Wish River was playin' Green again this year just to see a game at Marietta's stadium. Thats a nice place to play.
