WK 2 (1-0) Alexander @ (0-1) Trimble

Post by ATownWarrior »

last year the spartans were able to surprise some people. Alexander comes off a huge win. Trimble looks for blood. what are your thoughts?

Long night for Alex.

You upset the Tomcats last year and now, you have to deal with a
po'd group of Tomcats after tonights game.

Plus, you get to make the trek up to beautiful RedtownJacksonvilleTrimbleGlouster.

Week 2 is going to be very tough for the Spartans. Good luck to both teams.

If trimble don't work on their tackleing and their offensive and defensive line play it will be a long year for them.

Coach Arno will have his boys ready. The Cats should win this one but, I said that last year too. We all know what happened there. The best coaching staff in Southeastern Ohio will rally the troops and we will rebound. I just hope this game doesn't come down to a goal line stand again this year.

'Toe-head' says trimble - I gotta say Trimble ... Mama always told me 'never argue with fellas who call themselves Ace, Bull, Bubba or someone with mean before their name lilke Mean-Joe or Mean-Jean and then of course, Toe-Head'

Just as Federal Hocking an Athens this is also another TVC Ohio vs. TVC Hocking game. I believe this will be a close game although the game is at Trimble I expect they will be pretty beatup from the Nelsonville game so I'm going to have to say Alexander by 10points. As a Belpre fan, I'd like to say goodluck to both TVC teams. We play Trimble the 3rd week at Trimble then the next week we play Alexander at Alexander.

I say Trimble--if they put their fastest and strongest player who happens to be the fullback # 5 running the ball. If they run him more than an average of one play per quarter such as in the Nelsonville game-Trimble will have more of a chance on the ground

#5 is one of the strongest kids in the area and a very good blocker. A majority of the carries should have went to #12 with #5 clearing the path for him. Don't get me wrong #5 should get a lot more carries also. The best coaching staff in Southeastern Ohio will figure that out though. They definitely don't need our input.

Cats lets get back on the winning track this week with a win vs the Spartans. Remember how you felt last year after Alex beat you on the last drive and punched it in for 2 for the win.
ALEX 15 CATS 14
Thats enough to get the cats fired up.
Time for Revenge.

Did you mean to spell 'Beer' ... and then forgot to add 'belly', J.L.?

"Don't poke the beerbelly, it might jiggle too much." ... Is that what you were going for?

You 'Cats kill me with your grammer, it's always a jolly-good-time figuring out your sentences and what they really mean ... 8)

I know 'poken' at the bear isn't wise; Take it up with my boys, Tommy H and Rube K ... They handle all my dirty business east of Milfield.

ALEXANDER @ TRIMBLE

My thoughts on that game is that (a) It's in Trimble ... Which is good for at least 10 points. Field judge probably owns the Tomcat Corner, 2 refs own the Diary Queen and one of the Dollar stores, and the guys running the chains are Tomcat allums that just came from The Shingle Inn ... (b) To much history, tradition, commitment and pride in the Tomcat football program for a team like Alexander, who has a more successful soccer program, to go over to Glouster and win a game on the gridiron.
