I agree with Bulldog on his analysis. SP is a good well coached team that could beat WB. However, WB should win. I predict it will be a competetive game.

I know I said it will be a good game, but after watching Burg beat Ironton the way they did. It would take a better team than SP to beat them

I know Ironton lost the game but we usually start out slow and then get better as the game goes on and as the season goes on also. We did win the 2nd half 22-7 but that wasnt enough to overcome 3 1st half fumbles. Ouch!! The good news is I think we have potential. Good luck to both teams this Friday. It should be a good game coming down to turnovers.

Craigmiles is a hard and fast runner.Does track and holds Wheelersburg record in one event as a freshman.Also caused a fumble and recovered it Friday.Had minimal playing time Friday but if he plays entire game this week should have great stats.This would be an added weapon for THE BURG

w'burg cannot overlook anyone this season. they are an average team with potential to get better each week. they must minimize turnovers and mental errors. also, they seemed to have a problem with personal fouls. i think they had two this past weekend. they also must be more physical. a lot of "patty cake" at times against ironton.

It looked to me that Burg played to protect their lead in the 3rd and part of the 4th.When Ironton scored they went back to work.

I thought the same thing. I think if Burg continued in the spread and ran out of that, they would have won the game going away. Ironton had trouble last year and they struggled with the spread offense again this year.

burg's d-fense looks to be good--- holding i-towns offense to only 189yrds. is woodward running the offense or defense this year?

Other than the one 59 yard run Wheelersburgs defense shut down Irontons rushing game. 104 yards on 28 carries equals 3.7 per carry, but if you take away the one run for 59 yards it comes out to 27 carries for 45 yards, or 1.6 yards per carry. That defense is quick and swarms to the ball and will give SP fits all night. They will be even quicker on the turf.

SVVFAn, WE cant compare anything Burg vs Itown because they didnt play when Ed Miller was coaching. Either he was scared or whatever but I played back in those days and I assure you, we would not been intimidated by the Lutz. We were already intimidated by the COACH! And, I never said and dont think in a million yrs this Burg team is going to overlook Sp for anyone, especially Ptown this year. SO, I say the Burg goes back to SP thinking of how they got spanked 2 yrs ago and uses the knowledge they got from last years game and puts it to SP!

I think the win over I-town only got their juices flowing. I see them putting points on the board early and not letting off.
