Re: DV REGION 19
I see Heath losing three games and that will leave them fighting to get in.
Ready only has 8 games this season, so who knows how that will play out?

Re: DV REGION 19
if i recall, the last time i looked a ready's schedule they play quite a few d4 and higher teams.. might get them enough to get in..
I dont know much about paint valley, liberty union but as long as they win they're in!
I know fredericktown comes from a strong conference rurally based east of columbus.
All in all, ya gotta win to get in.

I agree that Coal Grove would have to win out to stand a chance.. and that still might now let them in.. Chesapeake is knocking around there and with Valley and West still on the schedule if they can pull a few outta there butts they stand a good chance saying they can make it though the confernce clean.. I know alot of IF's in there but it would be nice to see us back in

Minford will have to almost win out to make the playoffs, weak schedule really hurts the Falcons this year. I hope the AD can set up some tougher games in the future, I would like to see Jackson, Ironton, or Portsmouth, as I think that this program is headed in the right direction with Coach Daniels at the helm.

but we will have to wait and see....
Good luck to all teams, till they play the BURG!

Re: DV REGION 19
Coal Grove and Wellston will start producing second level points. Of the games left, Oak Hill, Waverly, Wheelersburg and West will be rich in points. Of course, the Falcons have to win most of those games. It is premature to worry about that. Just take one game at a time.
Re: DV REGION 19
As for local teams, Just awesome to see Oak hill in the mix!! Great job to the Oaks and their staff. Big game this weekend though. Congrats to West playing like WE ALL knew they could the last 2 years. I might give their posters crap (like they do ours) but you had to know that that talent was going to do something during these 3 years. Good thing for them, some youngins are making the contributions. Minford, no doubt they would be good this year, but until last friday, I was wondering about them. Stopping CG was a good 1st step. Valley back on track. Still an unknown to me. Burg, with only 4 offensive senior starters and 3 on defense (correct me) is on top point wise at this time. WOW! Still have 3 surely tough games in Minford, West and Waverly. I am not sure about Valley but the game is at Valley so you never know how there young kids will be. Minford a t home, Waverly and West away back to back. MAke or break for home field possibly if lose both ???
As for the whole region, Heath plays the big boys all year but like NCF said, they will probably lose 3. Paint Valley is a good team that lost to a resurgent Westfall team. This friday is a statement game for them as they play Adena. Balt. LU has one more toughy on their sked but unsure the amount of 2nd level points they will get after this week. Amanda CC should get them some! Ridgewood is coming on and Shadyside will get them points but their sked is week until week 9. A win there and they could solidify a playoff spot. Crooksville should lose 3 more. NY bucks have a big game this week against 4-0 meigs. Huge point game if they win. Lose, and they are 7-3 with Ironton in week 9. Columbus academy has games vs 4-0 div 3 granville followed next week by 3-1 Newark Catholic and 4-0 heath and 3-1 Licking Valley week 10. They win one of those big games imo. Nice sked! Ahhh Freddies, rolling so far. Big test this week vs Danville. Win and they are at home. 1st through 3rd in the region.

Re: DV REGION 19
minford's schedule is looking better and better as the year goes on starting to yield more than wheelersburg's or west's....after looking ahead at the posibilities minford and burg will both be ok 8-2 gets both in 9-1 or 10-0 gets both a home game...west however must go 9-1 or 10-0 i think 8-2 wont make it....on paper thier schedule looked like it would yield more points....now the heat is on west needing to win 2 outta 3 against minford, burg and waverly

Re: DV REGION 19
As I understand it, Ready lost a great deal from last years team............ That was kind of suppose to be "THE" year for them.
The other thing is that every loss is magnified when you are reduced to an 8 game schedule. Does anyone know why that happened
I cant imagine being a Senior in high school and only getting 8 games
Why are people saying that Minford might have to forfiet?

Re: DV REGION 19
From what I have heard, it has to do with a couple of transfers into the school. I thought that the issue had been cleared but then that was resurected when i heard they might have to forfeit the first two games. if that is the case Minford will have a hard time getting in unless they win the SOC outright.

This is OLD news. All has been positively resolved. Everyone is eligible. No games will be forfeited. All this issue did was make Minford a closer, stronger, and deeper team. Just ask Oak Hill and Coal Grove. End of story.
Big show down in Minford this coming Friday against Waverly. Get there early, this one will be a slug fest. If Minford wins, it will go a long way toward solidifying their goals for the SOC and the playoffs. Go Falcons!

That sucks. Are the rest of their games guaranteed or could there be more cancellations?
