I'm not counting it out, but I don't see HP winning by 40.

It's hard to say they don't play anybody though. They are in the same conference as HP, so in conference they play the same teams. But, as far as their non-conference, they didn't play a whole lot.

D6 St. Bernard Elmwood Place (3-6)
D7 Hardin Northern (3-6)
D7 Jefferson Township (0-8)
D7 Troy Christian (8-1), if you go by points average on the playoff points sytem, they are the 3rd best D7 team in the state.

Troy Christian is very good based on results. I should say they haven't beaten anyone good. The MSL small school in football is just brutally bad other than Harvest Prep.

8 playoff teams and matchups seem likely. Could move around in East loses.

8. Notre Dame
@
1. Waterford

5. Southern
@
4. Trimble

6. Danville
@
3. Shadyside

7. Harvest Prep
@
2. East

Bellaire's win today and a very real chance of one next week really helps Shadyside. They will pick up 6 d7 wins with a victory over Mcmechon Bishop Donahue. Keep in mind that Shadysides divisor is 95. If you calculate that in as of now they have a harbin of just about 12.

If it makes you feel better I'll pick Notre Dame to lose badly in their playoff game too, should they make it.

I hope every area team wins at least a region. I just know that outside of this area, those teams are really really good. Trimble just beat Alexander by 42, East beat them by 7.

Troy Christian gave Covington(#1 D7) all they wanted and lost 27-26. That could be a heck of a rematch in region 28. Hoping covington keeps winning as two of my cousins are on that team! Go Buccs!

Harvest Prep wins this region. Toughest schedule, and speed will blow by all teams in this region.

Didn't they get beat by Rosecrans?

Rosecrans is in this region and beat them on their field. They'll have the best athletes but I'd not pick them to win the region.

Harvest Prep had four turnovers in their loss to Rosecrans and several injuries for that game. Factor in coaching adjustments and the addition of a couple transfers and they're not the same team they were in that crapshow vs Rosecrans.

I can't imagine Harvest Prep getting transfers in hahaha. I've watched them in the playoffs the past two years, great athletes but sub par coaching. If they're going to win it this could be the year but my $ is on Shadyside

"Addition of a couple of transfers" during the season----there is the heart of the matter where private and parochial schools have huge advantages over public schools.
Unless---there are any of public schools in the hunt for a spot that had a couple of transfers move in after game one.
