Well, now that I got that out of my system..........
I must leave and go take pics of the Lady Oaks volleyball game.
Mr.Boggs is covering the Jackson CC meet and is going to snap some pics of my kid, for us. while I cover the game for him.

Now everyone play nice while I am gone and I will check back in and see who gets their hands slapped.

You know most of this stuff comes from people that really have nothing to do with any of the coaching staffs or any of the players. They believe they can fire their teams up by making this stuff up and posting it on here. A Minford person says that the Oak Hill team said this or an Oak Hill person says the Minford team said that. They are people outside of both football teams, really with no investment or direct involvement in the work or preparation for the game. Just a misguided attempt at emotionally firing up their teams.I cant think of any coaching staff or for that matter any of the players who would go out of their way to insult and not respect the team they are playing. Why would the actual team who has to play give another team a reason and give them something to post on their team board in the locker room. Biggest problem with this site is that as Shakespeare said " are faces without hearts". Its real easy to say a lot when you know no one will know who you are. In reality both teams and coaching staffs are working hard and preparing because they expect a hard fought game. Good teams and good coaches always expect a hard fought game and prepare for it.

I`ll stick with my prediction. With The Falcons playing as they did against Coal Grove,
Minford 34
Oak Hill 21
Have an injury free game, for both teams, with no excuse !

Go Big Red !!
Please don`t single out these Kids ! Let it rest !!

4thekids......Oops! On the original Oak Hill schedule I got, it had Oak Hill playing Wheelersburg in volleyball tonight (Thursday). I checked the website after I read your post and it had that game listed for last night. The SOC usually plays its games Tuesday and Thursday.

I should check the school website more often for schedules are subject to change. Buzz didn't let me know either, but maybe he didn't know.

Thanks for going out there though, 4thekids, and I got some pictures of Jess at the CC meet.

Also, I am covering Friday night's Oak Hill at Minford game. Good luck to both teams. Have never covered a football game Minford before. Looking forward to it. Can anybody tell me what the press box is like as far as space, etc.?

One would think the PDT would be there to cover this game, given its magnitude, but with the way they seem to be going, who knows. I sent them a box score and information — per their request — on the Portsmouth-Jackson game that I guess never saw the light of day.

Nice size press box, but it is being broadcast by 107.5 The Breeze, so it may be a little tight. However, there is one large room and two smaller rooms. You should be able to find somewhere to call home for the night. Nice facilities. I think you'll like them. For those sitting on the visitor side, the bleachers are elevated and you have a nice view. Definitely one of the better visitor side bleachers you will find. Have a safe trip.

RogueWarrior1965.....Thanks for the info. The Oak Hill radio station, I think it is 1330 AM, will be there as well. But their play-by-play guy Buzz Fisher also writes for The Telegram. Unless the PDT comes, which is a crapshoot at this point, I will be the only other newspaper person there in the box. I can't think of any others.

I'm glad everyone has all of their negativity out of their system(including me). Oak Hill and Minford are very similar in demographics which leads to similar school systems. This rivalry should have never been put on hiatus. For whatever reason Oak Hill decided to end the series for a couple of years. Both schools have dreams of a trip to the playoffs and both schools need this win to reach that dream. Good luck to both teams. Here's hoping for a well-played, exciting, and injury-free game.

As a former falcon athlete i know how minford teams play there game....Minford Athletics play on alot of heart and emotion. You all know alot of players from both teams set here on game day reading this whole thread getting themselves fired up. It's Friday night the mighty oaks are coming on FALCON TURF...not to mention its our boys senior homecoming were gonna be fired up...so once we step out of that field house see our community bleeding red and realize wut time it is ...FALCON PRIDE FLYS HIGH ON SEPTMEBER 19th...

Rip em up
Tear em up
Give em H@#% red!!!!!!
