One final note (historical warning 2old)

In 2004.....yes the loss at home to Gallia was beyond crushing in every way.........but losing to Marietta and allowing 500+ yards of passing the next week....league champs don't do that. Jackson did not deserve to be a league champ that year....didn't make enough plays within the league

But I've watch Ironmen football since 1984.....I'm guessing I've attended around 150-160 Jackson football games........beating Withrow was the most exciting game I've been to......bar none.

Jackson came out very flat against Marietta the week after the Gallia Academy loss. They went down 21-0 and fought an uphill battle the rest of the night. After forcing OT, I thought Jackson was going to win it, but Schob just kept making plays and Jackson didn't. That was definitely a heartbreaker because a share of the league was still in sight.

The Withrow win was very memorable though. Definitely one of Jackson's greatest wins. Couldn't have asked for a more exciting football game.

Anyway, on to tomorrow night. Good luck to the Ironmen. Stay focused and play hard for four quarters. Control the line of scrimmage, take care of the football, and execute.

BEAT GALLIA ACADEMY!!!

IMO GA has to find some way to stop the run(duh) to keep it close
if not watchout
these games are always fun to watch and both bleachers are usually packed
by the way i heard Moore will play

GO BLUE

Honestly haven't been to the Apple Festival for a couple years, but I'll be there on Saturday. The Lions Club booth does have good food...don't remember exactly what they have. I usually go to to the Farmer Sportsman booth near Eddie Jones Park to get a fish sandwich though. I also try to get french fries, one of the steak sandwiches that have cheese, onions, and peppers, or some of the deep fried vegetables. Those are all at the food booths that are lined up along Main Street and they're all good. It's all terrible for you, but it's hard to resist.

Well I am hoping for a win for The Blue Devils against Jackson. I think they can win any of the remaining games if they don't QUIT!

02 and I92,

If you are going to talk about memorable moments in Jackson football history i would think you would talk about 66,67,68. I bet those years do not even show up in hstory of Jackson Football. Probably some comment like no games during the Viet Nam Conflict.

Try the food at the band boosters booth near the main stage and you cannot go wrong with the pulled pork at Marie Laveau's bar. Safe travels!

I always get a veal from the Lions booth and then head down to the Rotary for some fried mushrooms.
