it takes alot more than heaving the ball 50yds to be a good quarterback
you could throw it 4 miles and still be a terrible quarterback
trust me ive seen somone in that situation

I have tried to find info on these qbs rivals.com espnu. and the likes and still the only ones I see anything on is Dereck Roback and Caleb Knight in the recruiting databases so until I see anything from the real experts I have to believe that its just my teams qbs are being thrown out there which is fine and dandy but just doesnt mean anything to me and thats mho and im standing by it.

The coaches at Logan high school do a terrible job at getting players recruited. You disagree?

Why didnt Conrad play D1? He obviously could have! What about Luke Wright? Why didnt he end up playing for someone? Just becuase Pats not up on Rivals YET doesnt mean he wont be. He'll be there.

I wanna see videos of this kid from Waverly. Anyone have links? Sounds like him and Pat are split images of eachother.

Well I have to give props out to the Waverly coaching staff they do a great job of getting their kids out there to be looked at, if I am not mistaken they had either 6 or 7 kids signed off of last yrs. team to 1 division or another, Walls being d1. But Roback really jumped on the boards from his participation in the underclassmen camps which I believe he was mvp in the New Jersey camp for super sophs. He's 6'3" about 210-220 running at 4.58 is what I believe I read his forty time was from his camp numbers. With the seemingly strong teams Logan puts out each yr. and the size of the school you would think they would be getting a lot of good looks from colleges.

I've heard that before but have no real proof myself. I don't know what the situation is but it's a shame because some real good players over the years have been overlooked like Joey Conrad. I'm still scratching my head over that one. :aaaaa46 Every year throughout the state there are teams that are absolute crap that get D1 recruitment. Why not us? Who knows, perhaps the parents should take a more active role in getting the kids noticed.

Correct me if im wrong but isnt it the coaches job to get a player recruited? I know that it doesnt necisarily need to all be on their shoulders, but come on! Give me a break! Our Coaching staff needs to get it together and start doing something for these kids!

Lucas Wright is a good friend and i think its a shame that he didnt end up playing D1 somewhere. If not starting on O or D at least returning punts and kicks for crying out loud! We ALL know that he is/was very capable of doing that at the next level. His field vision was CRAZY!!!

How about Conrad playing in the N/S game and looking like a man amongst boys out there. Made the "top QB" in the state look average in comparison to him. Its a shame. Something needs to be done though.

How about the quarterback from Manchester. I know they are 0-5, but he has put up some great numbers for a 1st year varsity player. And his name is Dawson Little.

parents can do lots of things. make video and send the video to schools. make inquiries. if you guys are waiting on someone else to market your kid, then most people are going to be waiting a long time. you should start when they are young probably around 5th-6th grade and make videos, keep stats, etc. everyone will tell you that you are crazy but if you want to market your kid, you have to have evidence. parents can make a difference.

Keep your eye on the Rock Hill Freshman Will McCollister... He's not there yet, but he's one to watch at 6'4" a good frame and a cannon arm he is extremely accurate... as he learns to look off defenders and continues to do the little things, he has a very bright future... will most def play at the next level, but where will be determined by him... moves well in the pocket for a big man... he is a hard worker with great mechanics and he is a great young man... the Redmen fans should enjoy watching him over the next four years! His biggest challenge will be not accepting everybody elses expectations and just enjoying the game!

That is so very true.....The coaches can help but the parents make a huge difference...

Do you think that is too early? In the chance you might burn the kid out.

if the kid gets burnt out, what does that say about that kid. if a kid has the fire to play, burnout should never be an issue.

Aaron Oesch looked very good for the Falcons friday night against Waverly, seemed like he always had control of the game.

if the kid gets burnt out then I don't know of any coach that would offer a Scholarship.....The kids that make it to the next level for the most part eat, breathe and sleep football, or whatever sport they play..being burnt out is not an option. If your burnt out why play at the next level then?

I think it is fairly safe to go with the Jr from Waverly who has been offered a scholarship.
