Valley by three touchdowns and they get a chance to rest some starters the second half and get healed up for the stretch run. After this one Northwest still has Waverly, Minford, and Wheelersburg. Ouch!!!

The very reason why they should be in the SOCI. Year in and out they can't compete in the SOCII, so basically, every year after week 5, NW might have a chance to win one more game. Someone needs to wake up.

Re: WK 7 Valley @ Northwest
I agree that the best thing for Northwest would be to play in SOC I but it will never happen. This is the school with the largest enrollement in Scioto County but have never been able to field a competitive football program on a consistent basis. What would you do with all the other sports, make them SOC Division I also? I highly doubt that the SOC AD's would vote on this to happen. I'm not sure what kind of percentage would be required to make this happen but I'd say it would be around 75% or more.
Re: WK 7 Valley @ Northwest
I hope Northwest gets things going in the future.
As far as this week, Valley wins easily. But, it could potentially be the last win for the Indians. The Indians played well against Burg, but self destructed again. I think they can possilby nip one or two teams left on the schedule.
5-5 would be a success for this team!!
GOOD LUCK

yeah but look at their past seasons in the soc1 they would have 7 and sometimes 8 wins and not make the playoffs because they were a bigger school in a small school conference. i think they fit well in the soc2 school size wise. i think it will just be a matter of time that they will be winning some ball games again

Yea, he is talking about the NW. I think the should make the switch and get a program going, and then maybe make the move back up. No offense to East, Green, ND, Oak Hill and SV but it has to be demoralizing for NW to know they have: Valley, Waverly, Minford, and Burg left. I think they would much rather face the SOC 1 schools...

Re: WK 7 Valley @ Northwest
I would like to see the AD's move NW into the SOC I for football only for a 2-4 year period. This would at least give Coach Thompson and his staff a chance to build a nucleus and be somewhat competitive.
Re: WK 7 Valley @ Northwest
Valley wins this one by as many as they want. However after watching Northwest play last friday they do have the best center ive seen this year..im suprised he hasnt went to a different school that can win some games.

bama
It would be nice if that would ever happen. Coach Thompson is one of the "good-guys" at Northwest and it would be great to see him get a chance to succeed there and that would give him the best opportunity to do it.

I assume you're talking about #77 Tyson Brown.... Oh i don't know maybe because he has friends and family at northwest and people he's known since he was a child. People only see northwest for their football and nothing else....Life is more than football people!
Re: WK 7 Valley @ Northwest
Wasnt Tyson Brown the fullback in that game?? I Remember sumthang like caleb brown and Paul Carver rotating in at center? Not sure tho but remember tyson at fullback running the ball

I didn't go to the game i just knew that tyson had been playin center some and that he's one of the best players on the team with his size strength and speed!....but whoever it was my point stays the same!
