The Falcons had many chances to take charge of the game but kept shooting themselves in the foot or the Burg defense made a big play. West continues to roll week after week and have really not had a challenge up to this point. I am anxious to see how the Minford players regroup after last weeks game.

As a side note, I would say a few Burg fans will be in attendance Friday night watching the Falcons and Siders play.

Huge emotional loss? The Falcons have moved on, yeah the lost a game they could've won, big deal. They know that looking back isn't goin to help anything, only thing left to do is move on. I'd say the players moved on faster than anyone else in Minford. Minford comes at their last regualr season home game and shuts west up, hard. I'll take my Mighty Minford Falcons by 2td's, have a great week of practice boys.

Hope west doesn't have some kind of stupid bell that they stole from another school that Minford can be accused of stealing this week, or that the burg coaches, I mean Minford fans, break in their stadium and spray paint 3 words on a wall somewhere

Easy IronFalcon. Your hear is in the right place but this West team is the real deal. They are better than Burg, whom we let slip away from us and should have came out of there with a win.

West may not be as quick up front as Burg, but they are more physical and certainly stronger (as is Minford).

2TD's is probably a stretch.....but a win is a win and I see the Falcons coming out of the gates strong this Friday night, and ending even stronger.

Minford needs to get really mean for this West team, cause I am sure they will be. Key will be get West down early and control the ball, let West start committing cheap fouls like last year.

Im positive the Minford boys are ready to bring the pain, I have spoke with a few of them and they are disgusted with last weeks results.

This game will be close as nobody stays undefeated as long as West has if they arent a good team. I think that Minford will match their intensity and fire, as it is Senior night and Im sure that these boys arent gonna lose their last game at home in the Pasture of Pain.

Just like last weeks game against Wheelersburg, I have a bad feeling about this game to. I have seen West and Wheelersburg play and West is the better football team. Good luck to the Falcons.

Minford needs to forget about last week. That was then and this is now. Sure take lessons learned from that game, but move on, have a hard week of practice and be ready for Friday night. Take care of the little things first and the big things will take care of themselves.

"Little things make the difference. Everyone is well prepared in the big things, but only the winners perfect the little things."- Coach Bear Bryant

I LIKE HOW MINFORD FANS ARE STILL BITCHEN A MOANING ABOUT THE BURG. YOU BETTER BE WORRIED ABOUT THE SIDERS. THEY WILL KNOCK YOUR C--K STIFF. GOOD LUCK TO BOTH TEAMS. LETS HOPE FOR AN INJURY FREE GAME.

One thing I've noticed from reading Minford posts since the preseason is that they keep referencing the Minford/West game from last year. That game has nothing to do with this year. West is light years better than last year at this time. The names of some of the kids and coaches are about the only thing similar. This team would whoop last years team.

I'm sure Minford will be ready to play as will West. Minford will come out fired up but that only lasts a series or two, then then the game will settle in. West's plan as always is to get the ball, keep the ball, and wear you down.

I think the offenses are closely matched in skill. But looking at the Waverly games of both teams, the West defense will be the difference IMO. I understand Minford is trying to play kids one way. I understand that Minford moved kids like Ostroski (sp?) around to get pressure on the Waverly qb, and I know the scheme against a Waverly is much different than against West, but I was not very impressed with the front 7 of Minford and I think West will run the ball for big yards and wear them down.

If West doesn't commit costly turnovers, I think they will win rather handily. Maybe not big time on the scoreboard, but they will control the game. We'll see Friday.
GO WEST

Not all Falcon fans are bitchin about the Burg game. Were gonna be fine. West has not seen the type of speed that Minford or Burg has. Good luck trying to catch #2.

I bet west will match both minford and wheelersburgs team speed. Your going to see 200 lb pound runners not 160 lb runners with the same speed.

oldcoachb, Have fun tackling #8, #5, #19, #11. Cause you guys havent seen backs like these guys all year

I don't know what game your talking about. Just ask Waverly, Roback didnt even have time to blink. And I don't see anybody in the area even close to West's linebackers. Minford is foing to ge hit like they have never been hit before.

First of a I know this is a Minford-West thread ,but have to inject this, the THREE Valley players Craigmiles took out in one play wasn't exactly small,as a matter of fact the last one he tossed out of the way was a big bruiser and he went flying the farthest. So let's not put TOO much emphasis on size.

Touche'
I have to agree! Until west actually beats a winning program they are just...well #7
Prove it, then come into week 10 undefeated. Then you actually well only beat 1 winning program going into week 10

Bottom line... West loses week 8 & 10 and MISSES playoffs!
