After coming off the big loss for SP they will come out ready to play.....Jake Seagraves, Doug Dillon, and Chase Woodson will be to tough for the Dragons to handle.

SP wins this big by 3+ TD's

Okay this is obviously a player here! Thanks for the bulletin board ammo there!

Ok well ur obviously wrong....Im a South Point fan that goes to every game, and after watching all of these games that SP has played and how tough they have played...They are too powerful for the Fairland Dragons...sorry to say it, but its true....SP had CG beat late in the 4th but as we have all talked about, penalties that were not called cost them the game...Yes i know there were some that were not called for CG so dont start. Im saying that big plays for SP were called back on alot of cheap calls.

so like i said SP by 3+ TD's

well we have played against way bigger and better backs than what sp has so we should be able to handle them
fairland wins 21-14

Fairland has the best skill position players in the OVC and probably in Lawrence Co. Fhs will load the box with 10 players and dare the pointers to throw the ball. If FHS holds on to the ball we win by 2 tds. Seagraves is a very good back and SP has a pretty good coach but FHS offense has to many weapons running or passing and our line is a little stronger than points IMO. GO GREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OVC11: SOUTH POINT GAVE UP OVER 300 YARDS OF TOTAL OFFENSE! ENOUGH SAID!
When it came down to the decisive play - the 2-point conversion - Coal Grove ran right at South Point and the Pointers cracked. All week long we had to hear about how great SP's D-line was going to be and how they were going to stop CG's run. We heard from some about how SP was going to win because they had the more diverse offense. None of that happened.
Your run defense has been awful all year with the exception of the Valley game.

South Point has played against of the toughest teams around being Wheelersburg, and Portsmouth West...Had the chance to win the first 2 but turnovers cost us....Also playing at point pleasant and playing against Wasonga and yes giving up a good bit of yards to him but SP also left there with a W meaning that they shut him down enough to keep them from winning.

Waterboy11....I agree completely with you. South Point does have the best backfield in the OVC with Seagraves, Dillon, and Woodson. Seagraves and Dillon run the ball evenly and get big runs for the Pointers, but also Woodson gets it every now and then and if he can break through a hole or get to the outside he WILL pick up a big gain because of his speed and ability to juke....Once again I agree about the CG game the best team did NOT win this game. I have a feeling that CG started their OVC chant to early as they chanted it after the game.

After watching both teams, I give the edge to Fairland. They have a complete backfield, including an old-time, bull, run-you-over fullback. Their defensive ends will shut down sweeps and options and their secondary will shut down the passing lanes. Short passes may be their weakness but I still think they win in a close one.

All one has to do is buy a newspaper on sundays and look at the stat sheet.... But for your information, I've seen SP play twice this year.
Myself and others said during last week that whoever made the least mistakes would win. SP fumbled 4 times - lost 1 of them. 2 delay of games - you can't blame the refs for that. The blatant holding penalty in the backfield on the 4th down play.... etc.
Was South Point the better team? No. It was an evenly matched game. Both teams played horribly on defense. Both teams blew big scoring opportunities. Coal Grove took a huge gamble and it paid off big-time. South Point doesn't have better players than CG.

I thought this was the South Point vs Fairland thread. Most of the posts belong on the South Point vs Coal Grove thread. Sounds like it was a good game to watch. Let's move on to this week's game.

I think South Point will take this one. I really do not know how SP lost to Coal Grove, but I think they will beat Fairyland..too soft. SP 24-F 8

^^^^^^ What fuzz said  That's how SP lost to CG. Both teams were very evenly matched. Both are much better than their records indicate.

Back to topic, South Point wins this one.

I would have to agree with Fuzz on a few things ... SP's rush defense has been horrible nearly all season long ... So look for Fairland to try to exploit that, if i had to guess cornwell will see a lot of carries this week ... I will say after this week that SP does have something to prove, they played there guts out and were 1 mistake away from a W .... I say SP eliminates the penalties and come away with a 22-15 win

(I think this game comes down to the full back position ... Cornwell vs Dillon)
