HEY OVC....COAL GROVE STILL REMEMBERS WHAT HAPPENED AT RIVER VALLEY LAST YEAR. THEY WERE COCKY THEN AND ENDED UP IN OVERTIME TO COME OUT ON TOP. I THINK THEY LEARNED A LESSON ABOUT PUTTING THE CART BEFORE THE HORSE.

I think the Hill will sneak out of CG with a big "W" tonight. It will prolly be a very high scoring game. I just dont think CG's db's r going to be able to stay RH's wideouts. William will have a huge game tonight..

Just give them a little time....
You ALL will be discussing how to stop them. They are a growning bunch of young men with a young coach. Their day is coming and Oh what a day that will be! :aaaaa41

I absolutely agree. Knipp is a proven Head Coach who knows how to win. There are tons and tons of young, talented players at RH and I've seen first-hand glimpses of what they're capable of when they aren't shooting themselves in the foot and making young mistakes.
I've got news for ya: If Coal Grove comes out of the gate and plays poor pass defense like they do against Fairland every year or like River Valley last year, they'll get eaten alive all night - even if they run for 400 yards and hold the ball for 30 minutes - and they'll find themselves in a shoot-out.

So.. what about everyone saying "these boys never give up?" Mid-Third quarter it looked like the players were ready to hit the road!

If you are referring to those RH boys, they are young and will only improve. They should really be good in a year or two. We won this game, let's not be nasty. ;-)

Not that it really matters....but I believe the final score was 42-13. Rock Hill scored in the 4th quarter.

CGhornet: do I sense some "Tom Brady's out for the year" frustration in that post? :122249
In all seriousness, Rock Hill will be back. And the way River Valley is playing, they should probably beat the raiders and snatch a win this year.
Coach Knipp is both an excellent coach and a 1st-class person and he'll have the red and white back to serious competion soon.
Now, I have to congratulate the Hornets on playing the best pass defense I've seen you play since...... don't even know when. Granted, it was against a winless team, but they have some talent. After the 1st quarter, you buckled down and didn't give up anything. 2 INTs tonight - when was the last time CG got 2 INTs in a game?
You control your own destiny in the OVC title race - there are 5 other teams that wish they could say that....

and BTW, how was that statement in any way showing frustration? CG beat the Hill real bad. Why would i be upset? :)

I'm going to give you the generic answer: "You should never question a team's will to compete. No one tries to lose."
To use another generic phrase: "I was just yanking your chain".
