Re: WK 8 Warren @ Logan
... 28-0 the Purple with 20+ seconds left in the 2nd qtr. ... so much for this one being a game from the Warren Big Blue ...

Wow, Looks like Warren is ready for the playoffs, not a very impressive showing or sign of much improvement from previous years for the Big Bad Blue from Warren.

After giving up 60+ the last couple years, I would say the 42-0 road finish is an improvement.
Next year the goal is to stay within 30
Work your way back into competition

Re: WK 8 Warren @ Logan
Logan was as expected, talent at every position and coached well. Everyone does their job and everyone looks good because of it. I like the new offense. It makes sense.
Warren's defense played well despite Logan having a short field all night. When they pressured Logan's QB he was manageable. Logan just has so many weapons and spread you so thin. Warren had the usual breakdowns that killed them. And, Logan is just one of those teams . . . Logan is up 14-0 and Warren pins Logan down and forces the punt. Angle is punting inside his own 10 and we're thinking, finally, maybe we'll get some decent field position. Naturally, the punt goes something like 65 yards with no return and field position is flipped in one play. Stuff like that kills you. I felt good about the defense holding Logan to 14 points with about 5 minutes to go in the first half. Felt bad about the big play and the bad call that had the Cheiftans up by 28 going into halftime.
Warren's offense had terrible field position all night. No matter, we allowed 9-10 defenders to stay in the box and then ran at them. It seems like the offense has "unrealized" potential. Let's put it this way, we aren't making mistakes, but we aren't fooling anybody either.
Warren has closed the gap a bit. They were not pushed around like the last few years. But, Logan was still stronger. Another off-season in the weight room and increased participation and we'll get even closer.
Warren has to find a way to win again this season. They can do it. But, we are going to have to break tendencies.
Good luck to Logan the rest of the season.
