I think meigs will win this in a high scoring contest...after being away the past 4 weeks...i think meigs will put on a good show for the home crowd.

I don't know about Meigs running the entire game (although they're probably capable with Jeremy Smith). From everything I've read and heard Meigs' primary offensive attack this year is passing (yes I know, it is shocking). Jacob Well has been consistently passing for over 200 yards per game. This is probably the most Meigs has passed since the days of Jeremy Phalin at QB in the early 90's.

Boy this is going to be a hard game to call. Both teams have the ability to put up a lot of points and I think they both will. This is going to be a real close game. Good luck to both teams and hope you both have an injury free game.

But I will go with Meigs in this one since I have family in Meigs County.

Meigs takes the win by less then 7 points.

Just my two cents worth

Meigs will win. Its playoff time. Home team in good games win most the time. Plus they have good coaching.

Meigs 35
Wellston 21

i an confident that meigs playing for something is stronger than wellston playing for nothing. this is our best chance since they went 9-1 i do not think chancey will let this one slip away. i talked about pride last week when meigs was being blasted. i think these boys do have that. 2 more games for the class of 09. boy's, i have seen you grow since you could walk. no class has ever been as competitive as you.
do it!

If im not wrong...Well is within 50 yrds of Phalin's passing record in a single season.

I knew he had to be getting close. Guess I was right...the most passing since Jeremy Phalin. Don't know what finally clicked in the coaching staff's head that said it's okay to pass in high school football but I'm sure glad (and I'm sure lots of Meigs fans are too) it did. The shame of it is that between Jeremy Phalin and Jacob Well there have been plenty of passing capable QB's at Meigs but they have not been utilized in that fashion. Oh well, the past is the past...maybe Coach Chancey and the other coaches have turned over a new leaf and are now going to embrace the passing offense rather than the up the middle 3 times and punt type of offense.

Battle of the worst locker rooms in the TVC Ohio. Just kidding, kind of. This should be a whale of a game.

Hey spartan, at least you dont have to ride a bus to get to the field from Meigs or Wellston . Alexander is a long way from the field.

GOOD NEWS :!:
Ralph is back, I was getting concerned. :122248 He just told me he went to see his mother down in Tensaw Parish Lousianna. He said he had plenty to eat on the way down .Then when he got to his mom's none other that the famous voo-doo queen Madam Appolousia . She is a great cook,he loves her crawfish gumbo. He credits her "hot sauce" in that dish for his 4.2 40 speed.
Thanks to all of you who called concerned about him.He is back here now safe and sound ,coach is a little upset with him and will sit him this game.He said and I quote "Rules are Rules".

Back to the game . The Rockets will be ready to roll .

boilermaker, if my team had as many losing seasons as alexander i would put the field far away too.
don't know what it's for, can't figure out how it's used.
just a joke.
hey where is sparstain now that alexander got thrashed by meigs, in his opinion the worst team in the tvc?
