As requested:

1980
Mike Roback: 74/133 (56%) 1509 yards, 19TDs
Rushing: 51 attempts 505 yards (9.9 average) 9 TDs
Gene Campbell 156 attempts 1457 yards (9.3 average) 21 TDs
Scott Holbert 39 receptions 988 yards (25 yard average) 15 TDs

1981
Mark Echstenkamper 1336 yards passing 13 TDs
Bruce Fouts 149 attempts 1185 yards (8 yard average) 16 TDs
- not bad for a guy who played guard his soph., and jr. years

By the end of the 1995 season Brady was starting both ways, then went on to be a starter in Basketball and Baseball. The 1996 season he was a Fullback, then switched to Quarterback his junior and senior years. As good as an offensive player he was (in my opinion) one of the best Linebackers in school history.

It's not a joke when you correct someone elses mistake while having one of your own.

By the way MTX, Brady also graduated from college and is even working everyday. Probably, like most of the kids who play football at Trimble. While they may not all go to college to become doctors, the majority, by majority I mean darn near all of them, contribute to society. TOMCAT PRIDE continues here in the valley after we are done wearing the feared red helmets. :122245 :122245 Once again don't hate cause you aint us. FEAR THE RED HELMET

If you want to see fear go to Trimble/Southern game on Friday. After the first time and only time we kick off, you will see fear and will not be coming the team wearing red helmets. :)

WE would all love to see an upset but there has to be a realistic chance of that and thats not the case this week...But hey if southerns star butter finger reciever jerry justice could make a catch once if a while and salser could get the passing game going southern may be able to keep it with in 40pts.

I think justice does not drop a lot of balls maybe 1 every two games thats it. HE has very good hands.

That jr high team was dominated by 8th graders that graduated last year, most of the seniors this year werent a major factor then, and the ones that were didnt play the same position that they play in high school. The coaches can't do anything about kids that arent motavatied and arent willing to put the time and effort. Their are good coaches on the staff, but there voices arent heard!!!

Achilles, no one cares, other than the kids and coaches, how many games you can win on Thursdays. What matters is what happens on Friday nights. It is interesting that Trimble and NY usually continue success from Jr. High to High School. I have also seen Jr. High barely win one game, but when they get to High School they are tougher than a two dollar steak. It is hard to judge from that level to high school. Kids change (or worse don't change) too much during that time span.

It is often the ability of the coach to motivate players that determines the teams success, or failure. If a coach is not a motivator, he should have a short career. If a coach plays players who refuse to be motivated, he will probably have little success. Likewise, a coach who is not open minded enough to use the talents of quality asst. coaches will probably not lead his team to potential. All that said, I think Southern is one of those rare places that has so many factors working against the football program that great success is almost impossible. Unmotivated players would be way down on the list of problems there IMO.

Yea i know what happens on Thursday doesn't matter. I was clearing up that this years Southern team isnt the team that went undefeated in jr high. Your right it is a different skill level im not disputing that, im just clearing up the point that this team isnt the team that won when they were younger.
