haha.. so kickers don't know football? I'm sure there are a few that would strongly disagree.

A punk from fairland? I believe last year when we whipped your hornets they were bein punks and runnin their mouths. we taught you a lesson and I expect we teach you another one this friday. All coal grove is is talk. Yeah they are always the biggest but by far not the smartest or most atheletic. Fairland has 2 times the talent than Coal Grove and if they can stop the run like we did last year then fairland wins big again. Just stop runnin your mouths and prove it on the field.

Fairland dont listen to them and if you are then just keep your cool until you hit the field friday and play for what you rightly deserve, an OVC Championship. Ive never had the privilege to play for the OVC Title but I am getting pumped for this game like I am playin. Go out there and win and teach The Grove a lesson.

By the way fuzz, I had a decent game last year against the grove but it was a total team effort that pulled off the huge win. Especially our defense which stepped up to stop that power running game. Thanks for acknowledging it though..lol

This is a completely unbiased question here... exactly what lesson is Fairland going to teach Coal Grove here? What did Coal Grove do to deserve any punishment? I just didn't know if I missed anything here.

Look, from watching a couple Grove games, they can be a little sloppy at times if the players aren't ready. Also, with Fairland's all-star offense, anything can happen at any time. So it's looking like a toss-up to me. But also, does the results of the previews matter in this case... just a rhetorical question. ;-)

Who are you to call our kids not smart or athletic? Refresh my memory again and tell me who won a share of the OVC championship last year? I'll give you a clue, It's wasn't fairland!!!! Why don't you get your facts straight before you have the decency to come on here and degrade a wonderful team like my hornets, who deserve to win the OVC Championship outright or atleast share it with a evenly matched team like South Point! LET'S GO BIG GROVE!!!!!!!!

Ask our Qb about the previews and a certain player grabbing his hammy and twisting it. Now in my book that is a punk. The sad thing is our Qb got called for a penalty. I just want to see a clean game and a good called game. I have no doubt that the grove will be fired up for this game as will be the green and white. Now lets quit calling each other names before this thread is removed. I think the key will be when grove throws the ball and I expect them to open it up with at least 10-12 pass attempts.

Well, as for the people on here that "claim" coal Grove has no talent, no nothing.......um, who has lost more than they have won this year? Coal Grove has only lost 3. Oh, wait..maybe I was reading Fairland's record backwards. OOOPPPPSSSSS!

I'm not going to claim that any school is any brighter than the other nor am i going to say that any one school has any better anything than the other. I think that both teams are going to give a good game and the littlest mistake will lose a game for one and win it for the other.

Lets compare non league schedules here!Fairland played Portsmouth West#2 in region 19 9-0,Sheldon Clark #3 in AAA in Kentucky 8-1,Meigs #7 in region 15 7-2.Tolsia #11 in AA West Virginia 7-2.Coal Groves non league schedule was decent I will give them that with Minford and also Meigs and Paint Valley, But also a 3-5 Newport Ky team in there as well as a middle of the pack SOC team in Valley 5-4!So the non league schedule has not been nearly as tough as the Dragons. And please dont say anyone on this list even comes close to West because they dont!

I was at the Minford game... if CG hadn't squandered opportunities inside the 10 and even the 5 yard line, they could have won that game 20-10. Instead they lost 13-0. Then, No.1 Wheelersburg turned around and only beat Minford by 7. Coal Grove also lost to Meigs 18-7 and then to Paint Valley 20-13. Coal Grove probably about 10 plays away from being undefeated.

On the other hand, Fairland has had plenty of opportunities to win games this season as well. I'm not sure as to the detail, but I can recall them letting a 28-point lead slip away to lose by 1 (or something like that) earlier this season.

We should just let Gridiron Goober decide the outcome of the game, because we all know that predictions are all that matters :-D

CG was held by Minfords defense pure and simple. if the what if game is being played minford had 2 starters out. if they were to play now minford would beat CG by 3-4 TDs. minford turned the ball over 4 times against burg or they could have won that game by at least 2 TDs. they had 2 major scoring threats in the red zone that they squandered. we all could say what if but it changes nothing. CG is a good team for the OVC but really cant compete with the SOC except for valley who should still be in SOC I. having said that CG should win Friday and win the OVC outright. Good luck.

I used to work with your dad and we'd always talk football. I always told him you'd be the best RB in the OVC last year if you stayed healthy - I don't think I was wrong. :122249

Im not calling coal grove stupid or anything like that. im just sayin that they are not bein smart by callin fairland punks. The lesson that the dragons are gonna teach the grove is to stop callin them punks. I was not meaning that they are literally stupid. My bad if people took it that way.

I appreciate that fuzz but idk bout the best in OVC. Peirson had over 1000 i just had bout 700.

Yeah earp, Ive hurt myself a few times tryin to run over people...lol

i think it is going to be another classic Coal Grove vs Fairland game! And there have been some good ones,The 1987 game made the Herald Dispatchs' top 5 games of all time in the area!I will never forget that game!Even though we lost it,I have never seen 2 teams leave it on the field like that night!I know some of the old Grovers will remember that one!Sorry just showing my age here!
