Yea Yea lovin' whatever, its called a little Trash Talkin and it is part of the game. Its all done in fun and just makes it a little more interesting. I bet your one of those people who think sports should be played without a scoreboard to, take your posts to the soccer forum or something like it!

OOOOHHHH I smell a West Sider and before U comment on my posting name and I shouldn't be on this thread,I am 2005-2008 East(temporary tartan)but BURG permenent.With that being said; on another post I made a reference to the ref's; between the lines I was saying West will get frustrated by the laundry and shoot themselves in the foot.Burg has the discipline to maintain themselves. If they are less talented or atheletic ,and never seeing West play,I can't say,discipline by the Burg team will be the equalizer.Want more trash or was this enough?

Well since I am a 58 year old female I don't think any team would want me now or then.Since it is close to the end of the season I am PROUD TO SAY Nathan Hood,QB for East for all U SOC 2 people that doesn't follow SOC1,is my grandson so of course I attend and root for East.And I am PROUD TO SAY Tyler Craigmiles is my nephew and I live in Wheelersburg. But if either team want me to suit up and play for them Friday or Saturday I guess I could take my flyswatter and play. Since at one time I was married to a west sider I guess maybe I should offer to play for them too!!!So if any coaches need a body for East, Burg or West give me a call.

Could someone from West take an extra picture for my family at your pep rally on Thursday of Burg's #13 being thrown into the fire. Mr. Bower (Shawn's dad) was nice enough to get me one 3 years ago, but would like to have one this time for the younger one's scrapbook. We would appreciate it very much. I like how people complain about the mud slung back and forth throughout this rivalry yet we all seem to overlook the apparent satanic act of burning effigies of random opposing players.

Riepo, how did you escape the fire last year? Anyway, West only burned one player in 2005, and I heard they are burning several Burg players this time. All in fun, I hope!

The burg players need to get them some Ricola throat lozenges. They are going to need them just like "The Mighty Minford Falcons" did after they get the ball run down their throat all night long.

Burg will be amazed with how physical West is. West's safties are bigger than Burg's LB's. Burg might lose their first playoff game because they will be so beat up.


And 90% of Wheelersburg people do think they are better than everybody else.

What?? Do you think Wheelersburg is a weak team? Every BURG game I listened to, with the exception of Minford and maybe Valley, the other teams were the ones gasping for air. If you think my Pirates will wear out then I laugh at you my friend...Coach Woodward has them in great shape.

We've heard that before. My mom could have scored the last TD against Minford. Their D was exhausted. Same with basically every other team West played this year.

One thing is for certain and can't be debated, Wheelersburg has proven on the field what they are capable of (every freakin year) vs boasting about "doing" something on a blog.


Having played/followed Southern Ohio football for over 35 years, the Burg will show up to play 4 quarters. I don't think anyone can name one game in that time span where you can say the Burg folded. Very few area teams can say that.

Can't argue that. I don't like em' and it wouldn't matter if it was a chess tournament I would want West to win. But in the end, with coaching etc being equal (which I don't think in the past it always has been) horses win the race. I just think West has more horses this year.

Wow, some real trash talk on here by both sides. Everyone just remember, no fan will determine the winner of this game. I do hope West wins. I also hope it is a game where the FANS of BOTH schools show respect for each other and therefore the kids. Good luck West! One thing for sure, West will never underestimate the opponent.
