I would have to say, there are alot of people that disagree with hawkeye. but i see where he is coming from. He is devoting his time to a football program that is necessarily the best around. I admire that, it shows a lot of dedication to stick with a team through some tough times. but downing the team from last year kinda gets to me. i agree that it wasn't ALL coaches fault, but you seem to be saying that it was ALL the players fault. The players worked very hard for coach yates last year. And im sure he worked hard as well. but he made a lot of mistakes. play calling, questionable defensive scemes, and position changes that didn't make the best of sense. why run the spread and run ALOT. why run a 3-5 defense (pass defense) in the TVC period. And i won't mention any names but there were a few position changes that should've been made that weren't, and a few that were made that were. As for the games you mentioned earlier, hawkeye, we should've beat nelsonville, minford, and even belpre with all the turnovers and bad calls. Plus the 3-5 defense didn't help.
