West would never allow that because they would lose home field advantage. Plus, Spartan Stadium, though very historic and a landmark, is falling apart and the visitors side sucks.

Never!!!West would never lose home field advantage just to seat more people. Their stadium is a nice one anyway.

Why? Spartan Stadium may be historic, but falling apart. West's stadium is perfectly capable, and very nice, I might add. A Saturday game would is a great idea, though, but not realistic this far into the season to change the date (at least I don't think).

No way!!!!!!!

I hate watching a game down there. Worst stadium in the area as far as fan friendly goes.

I just hope that if Burg and Minford or Burg and West would happen to meet in the playoffs that they don't play the game there. It is falling apart and is not worthy of a playoff game.

Great idea !!!

Play the most physical game you'll play all year on the Staurday a week before the playoffs.
Who needs the extra time to recover?
Brilliant

Spartan falling apart ??? I just don't see it --maybe in the locker rooms ? I would'nt want the game moved --that would not be fair to West but I HATE watching a game at west --there is like 40 yards between the fields and stands and the field has such a crown if you are setting down low you can't see the other side well. No intimacy at all , the opposing stands seem 1/4 mile away. Appealing to the eye , but awful place if you like being close to the action. I love Spartan. Don't understand the gripes about it. What is falling apart ?

No, I hate going down to Portsmouth to any game much less a game of this magnitude. Now Valley or Jackson would be a nice place to get the crowd in this is going to draw. I also wouldnt mind seeing this on a Sat. This is THE GAME next week in southern Ohio.

This game will never be moved to another night though because Ohio St. and Penn St. play next Sat. night.

No way would this game be moved. I am sure West wants the home field advantage as much as Burg would if the game was here this year. If 2 of the SOC teams meet in the playoffs, I agree Valley or Jackson would be the proper place for it to happen. Unless the seating is renovated on the visitors side, Spartan stadium may never host another playoff game. I still would like to have seen the money spent to renovate Spartan instead of building a new stadium in Portsmouth, but I know there is a lot of politics involved.....

like said above, west wont be able to handle the crowd as it is , on a Friday Night, why move it to saturday?

and THATS A GOOD THING......if youcan sell out on friday, moving to sat, doesnt do anything for you.

R U serious about being away from the field????? if you are 40 yards away from the field at West then it must be about 60 yards between the stands and the field at Spartan.

Like was said unless they fix the visitors seats are fixed at Spartan, there in no way, shape or form be a playoff game played there. I will raise nines kind of hades if that happens.

Valley or jackson would be a perfect place. They could bring in bleachers at Valley and put in each endzone. Lot of space behind both goalpost. Plenty of parking and just an overall nice facility. If not there, then Jackson. Best field in the area, hands down.

moving the game to a saturday would be a good idea because all the area schools could go but as for moving the game from the rock to spartan stadium would be a horrible idea

Ok last time Burg played @ sparty there was a MAJOR concern that the visitor section was about to fall in! So much as the city stepped in to not allow fans to sit there in the first part of the game! Thats a concern! History aside, DUMP!!! It has lost its atmosphere!
