I try to go to one Green game a year with my daughter and....they really need that Russian Steel Mill to come in and get people to come with alot of boys to play. It was ugly!!! they play hard but just don't have enough.

Another tough game for the Cats... Oak Hill should get an easy win, but I'll be cheering for Coach Mercer and the Cats.

Go Green!

I want to go ahead and apologize to the Green supporters, but this is going to be a game where Oak Hill pads stats like they did against South Gallia, hopefully they show a little more class than they did last Friday.

The Oaks big in this one.The question is is 7-3 good enough for coach Phillips to keep his job?

This could be a "pad the stats" game for the Oaks. There is no playoff implications, but the Oaks will still take care of business. I watched the Cats @ Notre Dame, they played hard and with heart from a class program, but they just don't have the horses to hang with Oak Hill.

Oak Hill 45
Green 12

That anybody has the audacity to even THINK -- much less type out -- that thought tells me that something has gone REALLY INSANE in the village of Oak Hill.

Phillips, like every coach, isn't perfect, but he works his arse off, putting in a lot of hours trying to do what he believes is best for OH football.

For people supporting a high school that has not made the OHSAA playoffs since the opening of the playoff field in 1999 to even hint that 7-3 is cause for dismissal is horse crap. I realize that Boilermaker advertises him/herself as a Wellston supporter on here, but I have heard those grumbles out and about.

It's just crazy.

It better be. It would be ridiculous to fire a guy who has taken your program from 0-10 to 7-3 in three seasons. The Oaks have improved every season since Phillips has been there, and with a lot of returning talent, there is potential for even more improvement. The Oaks lost some games this year that they probably should have won, but that happens sometimes. The people of Oak Hill should appreciate a 7-3 season and look to build on that. I don't think the Oak Hill fans know how lucky they really are to have Phillips and his staff.

By the way, boilermaker is probably just relaying what he has been hearing because I've been hearing it too.

I share the same feelings as KarlAgathon and ironman02. It would be crazy to fire Phillips now that he has the Oak Hill program moving in the right direction. The Oak Hill football team has shown steady improvement under Phillips and his staff the last three seasons and I believe that trend will continue if given the chance. I too have been hearing a lot of the talk surrounding this situation and I just can't help but be amazed. All those guys at Oak Hill have had success coaching elsewhere and now they're bringing that success to a program that desperately needed it. Be thankful for what you have Oak Hill!

Hearing alot of noise about this .Just thought I would ask.It was brought to my attention that they had a girls basketball coach that had a very successfull season and was let go.
Didnt mean to ruffle any feathers just curious.

On whom should the burden of stopping a team from scoring be placed? Saying that scoring at will and even running the no-huddle is classless is a copout! How about doing something to keep them from scoring? The burden has to lie with the team giving up the points.

IF YOU DONT WANT A TEAM TO SCORE ON YOU, STOP THEM!
