Hey didnt I coach here too. I know Wahama didnt beat us, because they would nt play us. They only try to schedule the really bad teams. When I was in school we beat them 40 to 0 and they cancelled our game the next year. I beat these guys when I was at Eastern too. That dont happen to often.

I love when people make remarks like that. "we killed them and they didn't want no more." how do you know that was wahama's intent to not play trimble? i mean come on, we have about 6 or 7 teams we have been playing for about 40 years, and if we can find a wv team to play before ohio, you bet we are going to play them before a ohio team.

yes, i realize about half our schedule is made up of ohio, but most of the teams are considered rivals and have a priority playing them in place of trimble (ie eastern, southern, south gallia, fed hock (til this year)).

Micah Otto ran a trap up the middle and gouged your sorry defense for a score early and set the tone for the night. Then Jason Sheets pounded you to death running the ball along with a passing exhibition by Brian Bowen.

I'd say it's the other way around, Wahama should be lucky they're not playing an Athens team of the early 2000's. Remember they were pretty darn good with Gregory, Hewitt, Champlain, etc.

I am betting on the home team cause they named there field "Rutter Field." Any team with a name like that has to be tough. Just ask my uncle Buck. I just don't think no team from the other side of the big river can win on "Rutter Field." Any players on that team with the last name of Rutter? man for 16yrs on big country, i can tell you athens, that this team from little ole mason

Frozenrope, Gregory graduated in 2001 I believe he had 1 year of play, 2000, since then Athens has done nothing. Shoot I think that's why they joined the TVC!..lol..
Wahama has had team after team get deep in the playoffs, granted they are the WV playoffs but you can only play the teams your administration lines you up against!
Name drop all you want, Wahama would have beaten them from 2001-2006. Not a doubt in my mind.
