Gravely, C. Saunders, Wachs share Zanesvillle tackle honors

Jared Gravely, 6-3, 225-pound junior defensive back, Clinton Saunders, 5-11, 185-pound senior linebacker and Tyler Wachs, 5-7 senior defensive back, shared top tackle honors in Friday’s 12-0 loss to Zanesville on Memorial Field.

Gravely and Wachs each had six solo tackles and two assists. Saunders had six solos and one assist.

Nate Gordon had five solos and three assists in his best game of the season. Austin Smith had four tackles and one assist. Nate Allison had four solos. Quinton Nibert had three solos, one assist, a pass interception and caused one fumble.

Shaun Pethel had three solos and two assists, Corey Mason three solos, C. J. Harrison two solos, one assist and a sack, Beau Whaley and Austin Wilson each had two solos, Evan Wood had one solo and recovered a fumble and Jared Golden had one solo and one assist.

After nine games, Wood continues to lead GAHS tacklers with 37 solos, 18 assists, a pass interception and a recovered fumble.

Gravely is second with 32 solo tackles, eight assists, and two fumble recoveries. Tyler Wachs is third with 25 solos, 10 assists and C. Saunders fourth with 25 solos, five assists, and two fumble recoveries. Nibert rounds out the top five with 23 solo tackles, three assists, four pass interceptions and a fumble recovery.

Austin Smith has 20 solo tackles and 12 assists, Pethel 21 solos, eight assists a fumble recovery and one sack,Whaley has 20 solos, four assists, a pass interception while C. J. Harrison has 20 solos, eight assists, two sacks, and a fumble recovery. A. Wilson has 17 solos, seven assists, and a fumble recovery for a touchdown.
