The Logan/Jerome winner would play the Louisville/Independence winner in the second round.

Here is a preliminary Scouting Report.
Be sure to check out Thursday's Logan Daily News for complete details on Logan's match-up with the Celtics
DUBLIN JEROME CELTICS
6-4
Averaging 24.3 points per game on offense
Allowing 24.9 points per game on defense
Key Players:
QB - Kevin Jackson - 5'8, 165lbs, SR - 4-year starter, thrown for over 1000 yards this season, good runner
RB - Steve Mehrer - 6'0, 220lbs, JR - Big Strong runner, has scored a bunch of touchdowns
WR/RB - Cody Burris - 6'0, 190lbs, SR
OL - Josh Vradenburg - 6'1, 210lbs, Soph
OL - Spencer Breseman - 6'3, 215lbs, SR
O-Line averages 225 pounds from tackle to tackle.
They essentially run two offenses: Double-Wing and Spread.
Their double wing has nobody split out and the block and read blocks VERY well. They have good backs, and experienced QB good at hiding the ball.
In the spread they have great receivers and Jackson is mobile. They have had a couple 300+ yards passing games.
Defensively, the Celtics run a 4-2-5 defense.
Key Defensive Players:
DE - Rick Armstrong - 6'5, 220lbs, SR - Tall athletic end
DT - Chris Bahr - 6'0, 230lbs, JR - strong tackle, run stopper
LB - Mehrer
OS (Outside safety/outside linebacker) - Connor O'Brien - 5'9, 165lbs, Soph - Turnover creator
CB - Jeff Robinson - 6'0, 180lbs, SR - leader in INTs
FS - Mike Adloph - 5'11 - 185lbs, SR - solid leader at the back of the defense
Chiefs will have their hands full. When healthy, the Jerome offense has been pretty hard to stop. Even against Scioto, they rolled up 25 first downs and over 400 yards of offense.

Well, that was no disrespect intended to Scioto. The point is that Jerome, when healthy and not turning the football over, can move the football on people. It will be important for the purple and white to take advantage of mistakes and execute on offense.

I don't see much of a battle for logan this week...I don't think jerome is gone to lay down...but Logan has what I believe the best logan team I have seen....I think it will be tough for anyone to come in and beat logan in the region...until the meeting against desales...and they are beatable...Many people from desales say they have the best team ever...I think that is hard to believe...looking at their schedule and wins..I don't think it is as impressive as many past years....don't set your sites at just winning a playoff game...set them higher...you have a good team this year...by the way....Go Tigers...Go SEOAL

In my best Jim Mora, "PLAYOFFS?" Or more accurately, "DESALES?" Don't overlook Louisville or for that matter, Dub Jerome. I know a lot of people last year who were probably looking past Tri-Valley. One game at at a time. DUBLIN JEROME!!!!!!!!!! That is the only team Logan needs to worry about.

I'm still going with Logan,35-20.
Logan's opponents combined record 53-47
Jerome's opponents combined record 45-55
I'd say Logan's schedule was better.
But if you look at Jeromes schedule they played all D1 and D2 schools while Logan played 2 D3 and 2 D4 schools, so I would still give that edge to Dublin.
Having said that though, I'm still pulling for Logan and think they come out the winner in this matchup.
