i was at the game and it was a lot closer than the scored indicated, the cats were in the game all night long until around 7mins left to go, river scored 3 tds in the last 7 minutes to make this game look bad. congrats on a fine season cats, and congrats to river for moving on

Congratulations to both teams! I listened to the game on the radio and sounded like Trimble was doing a good job until there was about 7 mins left in the game! Do Not Hang your heads Cats.....You represented the TVC well! You should always be proud of making it this far! Good Luck to the River Pilots next week against Malvern!

A little bit too much D.J. Duke #56 and #44 Tyler Brooks (5 tds) for River, but it was a good game.

Trimble gets those 9 points in 10 seconds on crazy bounce of ball. You had to see it. Could've been a TD instead of that safety, but River completely shut down that 1,200-yd. runner Dyla (2 net yards).

Tomcats aren't that bad a team. I would think you guys could make a serious bid to be back in reg. 23 playoffs next yr.

River has that quick QB Potts back and some linemen.

I know Trimble has a lot to be proud of. River was just a little too much for them.

Good luck next season. Pull for River next week v. Malvern.

Get a life Buckeyeguy. These kids just did something amazing so don't try to take credit away from them by say Caldwell was not any good. Be like the rest of the NY faithful and cheer the cats on like the cats cheered you on last week. Don't be mad because we made it to week 12 and you didn't. Remember if you drop about 40 boys out of you high school you can drop to Division VI but until then you will be in Division V. Caldwell played River to a 14-7 game and should have won and they Beat Beallsville who went 9-1. They were 8-2 and a good football team just like the Tomcats were. The Tomcats just played a great game last week to make them look not so good. Any team that makes the playoffs is a good team. Dont' player hate participate Buckeyeguy. Or as Joe Eing once said, "Don't Hate US, Cause You Ain't US!"

Now to the Tomcats you played your hearts out last night. Way to come back and keep fighting. I know the last 7 minutes wasn't so good but lets give them credit they were a good football team just like we were but they were the better team last night. I will really miss those 8 seniors and wish you all well in life and hopefully the lessons you learned on the football field will carry over into a sucessful life.
Jeremiah Borgen #60, Derek Banik #24, Kacey Cruse #11, Kyle Dyer #30, Joe Eing #1, Brandon Keith #5, Adam Mulford #20, Chris Runyon #15. You all were great leaders to the underclassman and all worked hard and we will miss you. You made the community proud and brought everyone together to cheer you on. This is something you will look back on and be very proud of 10-20 years down the road. I know the community will cherish this also. Remember you and the 2001 team both made it to week 12 and also think about this. You 2 teams are the only TVC teams to advance during the 2000's. Our Underclassroom lets wear the weightroom out to get bigger, stronger, and faster for 2009. Good Luck RIver in Week 13.
Great season Tomcats and seniors thanks for leading us I will truely miss each and everyone one of you.

Trimble ran into a beast last night and gave it a nice shot but in the end the better team moves on.

Good luck next season and congrats on the fine season you had in 08.

I predicted last week that Trimble would be down 7-0 with 11:30 left in the first quarter, actually it was 9:30. Go back and check on page 1 or 2. As far as Trimble being in the game...were you at the same game as I was? Except for the fumble back to the 2 yard line of River, Trimble may not have scored. River had the ball for 9 1/2 minutes of the third quarter. Also, those running backs you all were talking about; did they come to the game? Trimble had NO running game. Some of you guys need to leave Athens county once and a while and see some real football.
