Somebody obviously hasn't seen west play!
And I'm not a west fan!

Valley has moved their fall elementary school carnival that was scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on the 15th, to 2:00 p.m. on the same day. Valley has put in for a playoff game and you can bet if both S.O.C. teams can get wins this week, all of Scioto County will be in Lucasville in 9 days.
I don`t think you can ask for a playoff game after the season starts, you have to apply before season starts.

I was very impressed by Wheelersburg and Minford Saturday night. I thought it was a great hard hitting rivalry game that really could have gone either way. i realize that the Burg outgained them by a good amount but I thought Minfords D was great when they had to be and I think would have done better with some more play action passes. Both sets of fans were class acts. I thinkl the Burg will come out stronger this week and prove to be to tough for Liberty. By the way by looking at the program it seems to me that the Burg and Minford have a lot coming back next year and should lock up in another classic or two. GO BURG

Redman.....You are correct. Having seen the situations with Jackson, if you want to host, you have to apply - on an annual basis - with the OHSAA before the season starts.
The application process is thorough and covers everything from financial reports, seating capacity, parking, etc. About halfway through the season, the sites which are deemed "eligible" as a result of the application process are contacted if they still have an interest in hosting. Doesn't mean they are guaranteed a game, just that they are declared eligible and if they indeed are still interesting in being a host. If they still are, they are included to the list of possible sites.
So if you want to host, the application proces starts before the season starts.

And you know that Valley didn't apply? Gonna say that if they both win, the game will be in Lucasville.

Would be nice if that happens. That place would probably see the most people it has seen in the history of the stadium. Both need to take care of business this Saturday first and then worry about next week.
Both Burg and West have winnable games, they just need to execute.
Good luck to both the Pirates and the Senators Saturday night. Make Scioto county proud.

We need to focus on the game tomorrow, and not next week as exciting as it will be wheelersburg is getting ready to face a really good LU team and they can't look ahead to what might happen they need to focus on the task at hand. I think the game will be like last years waverly game, execpt it will be a lot closer. I think Wheelersburg might try and pass a little more to keep the defense of LU on their heels.

As long as they go with managable routes of 8 to 12 yards I see no problem with this, but trying to throw 25 to 30 yard passes is not the way to go. Hit the tight end on slants or out patterns and quit trying go 30+ yards down the sidelines. Andy is 6'6" and can leap like a deer so use him, but do it correctly with quick hitters across the middle or 10 out patterns. Just focus on moving the chains and not home runs.
Re: Round 2 Wheelersburg vs. Liberty Union at Jackson
Really don't look for them to pass much more than they have. They will throw but only if they are not moving the football well.
With both Stegman at 6'5" and Hopper at 6'3" both can create huge mismatches at the corners. And both have excellent hands and can jump as well. Also several RBs can catch the football. Should be no reason not to be able to get these guys the football if need be. QB must be comfortable and confident in this area.
