I hope not, speaking of that, will the coaching staff stay the same? It sure seems to work well the way things are now. Looks to be another great year to be a Falcon!

I'd hate for the coaching staff to be dismantled in any way at all. Everything is in sync when it comes to them.. Not talkin about the pop group back in the late 90's either    .. with daniels at the helm, matiz on d, mcroberts on o-line, seidel in "happy valley" , ruby on specialities, and lloyd with those d-ends, lest we not forget about the caretaker.. Don't know how anyone could ask for a more demanding yet laid-back group of guys. all bring that put-up or shut-up attitude... anywho, im lookin for 09 falcons to "extend the trend" .. hmm possible tshirt slogan? back to the point... 8-2 seasons are great, HOWEVER, im sure an SOCII championship and another trip to playoffs would be considered higher on the totem pole. Hell, i know those coaches have been teaching that perspective for 2 years now.. 3rd years the charm boys :122249 ..

See ya'll in august....

p.s. anyone know anything about a possible Falcon Flyer 3 coming out? sure is a dandy mascot vehicle.. I'd love to see another one of those..

Cannot forget about Rickman, and the coaches who run the farm system as in Caudill, Bentley, Berry, Gaines, Gambell and Mowery. They know what it takes to get the boys ready for the next level.

I believe the only goals that Minford needs this year for 2009 are:
1. Have a winning season
2. Win the SOC II
3. Win a playoff game instead of making it. The first two goals will take care of getting there.

Some of the things we need to improve on is stopping the run, especially to the outside. Burg killed us on sweeps. #2 needs to be on the field and not watching the game from the sidelines. Don't know if thats possible. We lead the league in cramps last year that kept key people off the field in key situations. Something were doing conditioning wise or a lack of hydration. Place kicking started off great and then went straight down hill to the point that we couldn't kick an extra point or short field goal. If we can improve in these areas and with the talent that we have coming back I think we have one of the best chances we've had in years at winning the SOC II. :122249

As of now, I think the 2 kickers will be Aaron O., and Henry(drawling a blank on last name). With work , they both will do well.
