Ridgewood didn't show much. They didn't have any playmakers, no speed. You could tell they had played a bunch of D7 schools. Burgs D played great. Burg needs much better play and decision making at certain positions if they are going to continue to advance. Burgs coaches had the kids prepared and ready to play. Good win for burg, good intensity and focus in the first half. Very good atmosphere at the ED last night.scott1297 wrote:In my opinion Burg just defeated the best #8 seed I've seen in a while Zane Trace had no business even being in the Playoffs and I do believe NY is better this year and Burg will have to play a good defensive game to get by them and I am hoping the game will be in Jackson great facilities there and Burg has had a tougher schedule but come week 12 all that stuff really doesnt matter anymore its who comes out and executes the best gameplan and Burg holding the Wood to just one first down and a total of 42 yds of offense was outstanding so GO BURG!

Nothing against NY but have to go with the Burg in this one. Us river rats have to stick together.

To be the man, first you got to beat the man.
In Southeastern Ohio Burg is the man.
NY has to play mistake free football and capitalize on every opportunity they get.

Burg still struggled at times last night. They are definitely going to have to get those things straightened out. All that being said I am still taking Burg by 14.

other than holding penalties, do you care to elaborate on how they struggled?
42 total yards allowed. Ridgewood NEVER crossed the 50yd line, and only got 1 first down.
Offensively we moved the ball all night.
When we didn't it was cause Ridgewoods Nasty Defense. Cause it was Very Good!
I think Burg wins by 2 TD's Saturday

Since mount went down. .Ny has spread the ball around and i actually think that it made them a whole lot better. .Now the defense has to cover.
Ny playing good football ..i will take the Bucks..

Have not seen NY but they better come to play their A game of they expect to best burg
Re: mad-dogg
Little chance of that. Mad doggie has obsessed over the location of PO games for at least the past 5-6 years if not longer. He just cannot believe that seeding has little if any impact on the location of 2nd round and later games as far as distance from each school. The picks are based upon a reasonable distance parity, a turf field, and the bid for the game by schools willing to host. I really don't care unless the distance is way different for one school compared to the other. For this game, even at Jackson, NY will have 4 lane divided highway to the turn-off on 139 to the stadium. Burg will have deer-infested two lanes. So, there's more than just distance if you want to complain about sites. On the other hand, Burg plays there every other year and a few PO games (that I'd rather forget).Noitall wrote:Mad-Dogg wrote:If it's there I hope to god that burg files a complaint with the ohsaaRoadhog wrote:Athens to NY 14 miles

Nothing defensively. They were solid. I'm just talking about the bad snaps, there were at least 5 and a couple of those came in the red zone and caused losses on the play. I'm just saying in a tight ball game you cannot have those types of mistakes. Also 14 is 2 TD's. So we can agree there.Neutron Man wrote:P(irate) wrote:Burg still struggled at times last night. I think Week 12 will be a lot like Week 11, Burg should handle their business pretty comfortably.
Re: Region 19 #4 Nelsonville-York (9-2) @ #1 Wheelersburg (11-0)
I wouldn't count on it being comfortable either way. This will be a tight game all the way to the end. Either team can win this game. Don't sell the Buckeyes short. We aren't ridgewood. We will compete with burg and give them the best game of their season so far!!Abe Froman wrote:I think Week 12 will be a lot like Week 11, Burg should handle their business pretty comfortably.
