Congratulations to Mitch Davenport (Jr) first team selection from Rock Hill and also Herb Butterbaugh (Sr) Honorable Mention... Hopefully next year we will land several on the team. Also... congrats to all those selected... it is a great honor and you and your communities should be proud of you.

WitnessProtection....You are right. Not all of the AP papers in the district have an actual vote. Any media member in the district can attend the meeting if he or she so chooses and offer input. But only the ones with actual votes can vote. End of story.

richardcranium....18 players from three teams. With the victors go the spoils as they say.

District teams are supposed the be the best of the best from that district , I don't see anyone from "those three teams" that isn't deserving -- do you?

In DII I was suprised Sean Munfield of Marietta was not at least an honorable mention.

He had 49 catches for 598 yards and 6td's
As a safety he had 60 tackles, 2 for loss, 1 forced fumble and 3 INTs
He also averaged 36 yards per punt, and 12 yards per punt return

I think this is worthy of at least HM status, more likely first team though.

Yes I am biased, I am his position coach, and yes this information was supplied to our AP guy to go to the meeting with. Curious why he was not worthy of some mention.

Is Sean Munfield a Senior? Not that it matters - just curious.

That shouldn't matter, performance on the field is what should get you on the team.

It just blows my mind that this guy was passed over. So many solid stats.
